  1. Great watch Dave, thanks for sharing the pictures. Your cabron nitride watch is very cool, I was thinking of getting one myself. I like it with both straps. I'd like to see some more picts of the Ocean Racer strap and deployment. Looks like you made a great choice there. I have titanium Breitling Emergency and I was in same boat as you when looking at additional straps and running into the issue of the deployment clasp not matching the titanium matte finish of my watch. For mine, I have just the black Diver Pro Rubber and the titanium professional II bracelet. I really like the titanium braclet, but I like to change the watch up with the rubber strap sometimes so I would like to maybe get the Ocean Pro one or something like an alligator strap. What disappoints me about the rubber strap is that it is not smooth like the Panerai composite rubber. My friend has a gen Panerai and the strap is so smooth and comfortable. The Breitling one is not so smooth.
  2. Nice sites, I like this one: http://panatime.com/20blhaubrris.html Anybody got one like that on a Breitling? I wish there was a way to get genuine Breitling deployment clasp straps without paying a fortune.
  3. I was browing Breitling site and came accross this video about their service, looks awesome! Select the language to hear in English. http://www.breitling.com/service-quartz/ http://www.breitling.com/service-chrono I didn't realize the superquartz was accurate to 15 seconds a year! One of my friends sent his watch in for service and it came out looking amazing.
  4. Tag Heuer must be pleased, they made a watch complex enough to make it too hard so far for a good rep to be made of it. This rep doesn't even meet the requirement of being passable.
  5. who is the dummy buying reps for this much?
  6. My AirKing rep has a really nice bracelet. The overall finish of the watch and bracelet on this $100 rep is better than any other rep i have! The stainless steel is flawless. Personally my favorite Rolex is the Datejust and Airking...just simple and classic designs This is my favorite Airking:
  7. Nice one, is that with AR treatment? I see the ETA date wheel looks great. What kind of strap is that?
  8. Nice shot of yours By-Tor. In person the new one looks pretty good, the details on the inner timers are nice, especially on the grey one.
  9. I was in the AD the other day checking out the designs and I noticed the Tag Heuer Aquaracer Day Date Chronometer has a redesigned dial and completely new rehaut as well as a new set of chronograph counters. It now has Calibre 16 printed on the dial. Check it out.
  10. sorry for delay in posting, not sure if it's obvious from these photos but the new springs bars make the end links a snugger fit.
  11. Great review, that is a very nice watch. One of my minor pet peeves of Reps is these little details that are not finished nicely, like these sections of the bracelet. When you have a gen each part of the watch is smooth and the attention to detail is something I think those of us who love watch designs admire.
  12. These did not need to be bent. I will upload some picts tonight. It was lot more difficult than usual to remove and reattach the bracelet, but I have always had a hard time with this Tag's bracelet. I even ruined the first one I bought trying to resize it. I had to re-order a replacement bracelet which has been just fine. This shouldn't be too hard for most folks to do with the proper tools.
  13. I bought the Tag Aquaracer Day Date rep a year ago and one thing has always bothered me about it is poor spring bars that do not fit properly with the bracelet and the case. This I understand is a very common issue with reps. I went into a Authorized Dealer this weekend and after showing them my genuine Breitling that I had gotten there they gave me a pair of the spring bars that are used on the Aquaracer when I said I had messed mine up. The dealer was really nice about it, they said it takes 21mm spring bars. I highly recommend this simple upgrade. Next thing I would like to do possibly is get a gen rubber strap. I wish Tag had a smooth composite rubber like Panerai uses.
  14. This is a great thread! Just hilarious! I know you said there would not be a next time but I would love to see next time video or photo document some of the tests.
  15. What is the real one going to cost? What are the opinions of the Skyland Avenger Chrono reps?
  16. Wearing the Breitling Emergency on October 15th with the Alligator strap.
  17. I just picked up a Breitling Emergency, it's a great watch
  18. Been mostly wearing these two watches...today I think I'll go with Seiko.
  19. What a great design, I don't think they will be able to make a good replica of this, without jacking the price into absurd range for a rep.
  20. Great suggestions on the Thicker Diameter Springbars and the Superluminova treatment. Where do you guys suggest going for both of these items, is it best to just send to The Zigmeister or someone of that skillset. I was thinking of sending mine off to get double AR'd, but believe it or not out of the box it has a pretty nice AR on it (though not especially apparent in the photo below). The bracelet is really nice on this watch too. I concurr with the others I would love to see the 'sexy' shots of this watch ;-) Here is mine in front of Mahboonkrong last week
  21. Looks great Pix, thats what a Rep should cost. I saw these ones all over Thailand when i was there, they looked pretty nice. I like the bigger day date one that I have, but this is a nice alternative at 1/3rd the price.
  22. Thanks ;-) I am glad you liked it, I made sure to post it here as soon as I got home from MBK. Here is a couple more from inside MBK and at the Royal Palace.
  23. Believe it or not it was pretty hard to find new top quality reps at MBK. I saw some real new ones like the Breitling Blackbird, but for prices not far from our dealers. I also found some really bad reps that we would never consider on this board. So if you're already in Thailand you might as well check out the replicas, but don't go out of your way in my opinion. The sex trade is disgusting and really kind of the dark side of this place....Thailand has a rich and fascinating culture that goes far beyond fake watches and taudry sex trade.
  24. Vacationing in Thailand I found this IWC Pilot Chrono at MBK Center in Bangkok. This picture was taken yesterday on the street outside MBK.
