I don't think he's taking new work until the end of April... you'll probably have to wait until he's able to be PM'd again... I've never had the pleasure of having him work on one of my watches but I know from the posts, pictures, and word of mouth on all the boards that he is, bar none, the greatest person to work on watches in our little world.
Best of luck.
Welcome and congrats on the great selections! The Railmaster is one of my favorite Omega models and I was recently VERY close to pulling the trigger on another gen...
Just jailbroke and installed the Rockyourphone app Pho...must admit it's pretty sweet- I think I'm going to go ahead and purchase the license on 1 April when it expires...
If anyone wants the iPwn app and baseband/update files let me know via PM...
Oh one additional question- I don't have a DS but wouldn't spraying the matte spray on the datewheel be a potential cause for concern? I mean...considering you're coating the dial?
The asian movements are generally pretty loud... you might try greasing the bearings on the rotor if it really bothers you...there's a topic in here somewhere if you run a search...
Very true however I think that most people would have a higher risk of being called out on the subdial spacing that the case thickness on the wrist. Still, you are 100% correct- there's nothing like the El Primo Frankens (well, 'cept the gen )
I think he means in terms of design...IE- an AP ROO Quartz...not accurate for the AP in terms of the movement it SHOULD have....correct me if I'm wrong Toad but that's how I read it...
I agree...I've been very fortunate with the A7750...the only one I ever had a problem with was one I got in a member trade many moons ago where the hour totalizer was "wandering"- a very common problem as I'm told and a (supposedly) easy fix...
Worst case- you're out a hundred/ hundred and fifty or so dollars for either a new movement + installation or a servicing...either way- significantly cheaper than a gen and the failure rate (at least in my experience) is very low... Another thing- you're also prob. not going to fall in love with every single watch that you purchase so you might sell/trade in which case you may only have the watch for a few months to a year and not need to service it...
Best of luck either way!!!!
I like it....these GMTIIC's are absolutely spectacular and I like them the most out of Rolex's new models... it's a great watch and you have a very fine example of an excellent rep! Wear it well!
