@ Codeammanus-2014 - 1. Rolex's value is not "overinflated" - no more so than PAMs or AP - Luxury goods are luxury goods- exclusivity trumps other standard macroeconomic factors, else people wouldn't be paying $8K for something that cost $1k to manufacture. 2. You never know what the market will bring...just because a watch is popular now does not mean it will always be popular...especially if you were borrowing money (Dani wasn't) to make a quick switch... you never know what fate will throw your way and if you're got family stuff going on...you never wanna tempt fate...

Well I understand that sucks....it would certainly have been "Easy Money" but imagine if you'd brought a watch for 20K and then found it out market conditions caused it to only be worth 17K?

I say come clean and tell him that you feel it's important to you that he knows you're not trying to be shady or lie...you were embarrassed and it's a replication but a fairly "High end" one as reps go but you felt it was essential to come clean to him to show that you are an open and honest person...especially since you're marrying his daughter.

The dial writing is probably microns wide but the magnifying effect of that mini hubble strapped to a watch makes it look normal...

I think the Corum is a very elegant watch but I like the look of the Concord... I say get them both but if that's not an option, I'd get the AC, have the ar coating done by Chief or K222 and then wait for the C1 to come down a bit more... they've both got distinctive flair...I tried on an AC in rose gold today at Tourneau and I loved it...it might be my next purchase.

Thanks By-tor and Pollux! @ By-tor - Specified dimensions are 35.5 mm in width but it wears like a 38 mm or so... great feeling on the wrist... I just shipped it off to my watchmaker for a full service.
