Date is a basic necessity for work week wear. True perpetual calendar is my favorite complication. Chronos get a lot of use... I guess I like them all.
On the 187, you would have to source a new dial as you can't use the 7750 version. On an old 196 you have to make sure that the movement works with the movement spacer. Some movements come with short chrono pushers and that relies on pusher extenders mounted in the case. Others come with longer pushers in which case you need the movement spacer with no extenders. Your chrono pushers have to be short as it is very difficult (read as impossible) to remove those spacers. I got lucky and was able to do it on my Pandas but others have not been so lucky. In short, anyone who is waiting for the 7753 187 will have to continue to wait.
Got lucky and missed that one. Not because of the movement but because of the fake screws on the back (and also it just looks unomfortable). Although I must say that the price at the time scared me off - too low.
You can easily replace the crystal. Davidsen may make one. But do it one better - buy her a Swiss movement radiomir. Does she know it is an Asian movement? If she likes Gold, try the 231.
I am guessing it is prelim picture. I would doubt those will be the final hands. Last we heard they were still trying to finalize the the dial. Well, I am ready to cannibalize my honpo of they actually make it (ar crystal, proper he valve, cg, hands etc.)
The only team I follow is the Patriots. Since I struggled with them during the Grogan years I have enjoyed the last few years in spite of this year's defeat. However, I thought the point spread was 7 in which case I take the Bears plus the points - even without a quarterback.
Well, if someone is giving away free watches I am now a watchsmith. Seriously, any process which leads to a truly thorough review either comparatively with the gen or other reps and/or complete with pics of the movement workings and a critique of it is a good thing. Pictures are worth a thousand words for rep collecting from an aesthetic perspective. Most interested parties can handle that part. As for the quality of the movement and the assembly that is where I find write-ups most useful. Although I love it when someone has multiple versions of the same watch and point you in the right direction of which version is best.
