  1. Bonjour to both of you. Glad to have you on board. Lots of great stuff going on in the rep world and n the forum.
  2. I like the other one as well but that skeleton on the face and the gold on the black background just jumps out at you.
  3. Absolutely stunning collection. Wear those well! Doesn't anyone get suspicious when you show up with 3 different gold Hublot's in a week?
  4. What is scary is I recognize every rep from when they came out and their flaws. Seriously, another great round of watches.
  5. It is a stunning watch. I have to agree that this is the one tourbillon I am lusting over. I am curious, what is the power reserve like on this one?
  6. No, not if you are a VIP or platinum member.
  7. Congrats. It is a classic. Wear it well.
  8. This has been covered in several sections. No, you don't have to pay if you are some form of paying member. And although the new software has a sophisticated classified section we are going to stick with the traditional sales section for at least some period of time.
  9. Definitely a walk down memory lane. How many of these do you still have? Also how many do you have in total today?
  10. I don't know what it is but it is gorgeous. How long ago did you buy it?
  11. B- Great pics. thanks so much. Although I love the look I think I am sticking with the Fiddy. Did they use the 8 day or 3 day movement?
  12. Nik- You don't need AR. The gen doesn't have AR. Only the diver does.
  13. And my solution - sharky for weekends and leisure wear and Ap bands black rubberized alligator for work - I don't own a brown suit.
  14. Congrats on your find. I am a 700 guy though. Who needs those dots.
  15. If you are basically in a suit environment I would do the following. Find a $1200-$2500 per suit custom suit maker (at least in the U.S.). Have them make up two midprice suits and you will find they offer you great deals on custom shirts to go with them. So, two suits at $1700 each, 6 shirts at $125 or so each and you will still have $1000 left for a good pair of shoes and a few ties. If you are in the U.S. I can steer you to one of these outfits and they actually come to your office. Could it be more convenient? I don't even shop anymore for work clothes. The only downside is that you will end up in ever more expensive suits as we do with watches. The folks who pay $4,000 for a suit have always amazed me. Let's face it, you can get a better true custom "rep" for half the price. And yes, you can even show the suit maker a picture of one you loved in a magazine and voila.
  16. Great watch. Congrats. Can't wait to see it again when you are done with it.
  17. Looks great. Wear that one well. I am guessing the screws look so good is that they have put in a thin rubber gasket.shim in the bottom of each top bezel screw hole.
  18. It's a slippery slope. Strap on those skis and a hearty welcome.
  19. Glad you are having a great time. Could be time to check out the 1665 in that Water Park.
  20. +1 Urwerk 's turbine movement blows that one away and it is actually wearable.
  21. Glad you like it. How does it feel to actually see your wrist when wearing a watch? Welcome to the dark side. By the way, flip over to a date with a "3" in it and you will be in for a pleasant surprise.
  22. Very nice pics and a stunning watch. What do you think of the current carbon fiber dials versus the older versions? That is the one thing I am still trying to sort out. I saw a couple of the gens from say 4 feet away on folks wrist last weekend and it looked to me like the "checkerboard stripes" (very scientific ) appear to lay out diagonally rather than vertical I am seeing in the pics. in any case this latest generation of EVO's are very impressive,
  23. What is too bad is that there is a well-done rep of that particular watch with a proper 7750 movement. But of course it is more expensive. I also have never heard of a quartz movement being that far off. If you did just get it and actually really like the watch on the wrist (and have the budget) you might consider asking the dealer to send it back to get the better version as long as you are shipping it back.
