  1. The Gen is one sweet looking watch for sure, doubt I could pull off the 49mm though. That subdial issue is just plain silly , why on earth they just didn't make them a bits smaller in diameter is a mystery. I will look forward to a review
  2. They should have Silver surrounds and thus appear a little fatter on the Gen. You'd have to be a real AP geek to know and recognise it though, and it isn't an issue for me. They should also be Dark Brown and I think they are more Black , again you'd probably need a loop to notice it , but its a show stopper for some I guess. Its a nice watch made all the better with the Strap. Thing is I live in a world city and see these in various AD's but I've never seen a ROO on anyones wrist here. Seen Plenty of PAMs and Rollos. But the AP thing hasn't really struck us Downunder.
  3. Thanks its not perfect by anymeans and the numerials are the biggest tell but the cream dial and contrasting white subdials is very good It was from Andrew best price around I think
  4. Thanks Guys, though its an expensive addition, I just don't think the rep strap did the watch justice. I think the black strap look a little less obviously "REP". This is the Dark Brown Horn back version from HK with beige stich. The lighter version is the more GEN like but I think this works well.
  5. Not the way of the gen strap I know but the Dark Suits my needs. It could fit a bit better on the lugs but it makes up for any short comings nicely with its overall quality. And yep I have removed the deployant clasp , crazy guy that i am Thanks for looking ST4
  6. Nice looking watch, but is there or isn't there a chrono? What excatly is the point of the pushers? Are they discs under the 9 and 6 bars like a Tag or something? Hhhhmmmmm interesting
  7. Good Grief you lot are a tough audience. I saw a Yellow type ROO in an AD yesterday and they look great. The Strap on my Safari smelt fine just a bad colour, I bet this one aint that bad. The Dial looks great. Its just the lower case that's wrong, why they couldn't just make a plastic one is beyond me. If toywatch and Foile can make them it can't be that hard. Oh well......anyhow what chance would there be on coming across a gen of these? Pretty slim me thinks. I like it.
  8. Thats look really great , excellent choice
  9. Thats one good watch you have there, very impressive ST4
  10. That case back looks very good for sure , dimple still there though. Lugs nice a short but will need to be drilled on the none CG side. For some nice pre V screws and that's quite hard to do. I'm sure most CGs will fit LH, V or DSN. A brushed DSN might be a cheaper option or a Nembo. Nice little project you've got yourself there. Question is , if that's a HenRo case does the Caseback fit ?, the one she/he sent me didn't fit standard casebacks ST4
  11. Thats one hell of a watch , love it love it love it
  12. My Watchsmith tells me time and time again never swim in those cheap watches , he is an AD for a Mid-High end Brand and highly recommends that you never swim with ANY chronograph watch whjat so eevr even teh ones he sale. He is mildly paranoid but he has a point me thinks
  13. That looks great, having a bit of lume envy with that one. Wear it well
  14. This is an expensive option but once you factor in everything else its not massive. Be interesting see the AR on these Try ebay Item number: 310153004588
  15. Are you sure about the line? As far as I understand there is no rep like that. But the odd fantasy dial does crop up every now and then so you never know your luck. ST4
  16. Crazy lume for a Crazy dial, that order is of numbers is mental , lots of fun though
  17. Very nice indeed great combo and nice pictures, so how big are these 47 or 44?

  19. Blimey Now thats really rather special indeed
  20. Hire a good tux with a black bow tie, breaking tradition with a red tie or worse a paisley cummer band or waist coat is just not cool imho
  21. Are you serious? 270 nice 275 well nice 235 Class 311 well nice and light 317 I thing of friggin beauty 276/306 sell the kids 315 the Mutts Nuts And the list continues to grow and get better Please don't get me wrong I love the Pannies as much as the next man, but if there's one thing this forum has showed me is that the Historics and quite a few of the contempories are just very over priced and just very basic watches. What Gimp would pay 90+K for a 202a from the Mid 1990's it makes a Rolex Comex seem like the Magna Carta History wise. I mean what history are we talking about here!! The italian Navy oh yeah they uuummm. Uuummmm tabrok nah pearl nah I'm sorry I must of missed that class about a couple of blokes on a pig!!! And they never wore a watch anyway it was just a Compass cos they'd of got lost with out it. To me the Panerai history is just marketing bumpf to support their Sales. The new watches Rock!!! the in house movements are awesome and pretty much crap on anything Rolex Breitling Omega ,IWC and all those ETA based watches which seem to make up 60+ percent luxury watch brands seem to roll out these days. Panerai is pushing forward with its watches and not just changing the Dial every few months, Its just a shame they are impossible to rep and way out of my league $$$wise
