  1. I agree....i measured it up to a gen and it's on the money.Late model 6263 case. The lugs are perfect,The only thing I don't like is that the lug holes for the spring bars need to be about 1mm further towards the end of the lugs to accomodate gen 571 endlinks. With a little massaging of the case you can get gen endlinks to fit perfectly....
  2. M....you saw my phong case....howclosewouldyou say it is togen?
  3. so David Wong sent me some prototype pushers he had......these look a lot like gen.....i found that they actually thread in nicely to the phong case. The next step will be to see if I can use the DW pusher tube with the gen assemby without having to retap the case......pics to follow.....
  4. Nice E! They are all beauties.Really, people need to see these in person to appreciate their beauty...

  7. I've been trying to find the correct tap size for the pushers and crown tube, but so far nothing concrete yet.Anyoneelse want to chime in here?
  8. Hi Red, thanks for your input. Can anyone else chime in and comfirm the correct taps for gen crown tube and gen pushers? Do we know 100 % these are the correct? Gen 7030 crown tube = Tap M3 x 0.35 Gen B24 P302 pusher = Tap M2.5 x 0.25
  9. order the opposite part next time to get the right part...LOL!!!
  10. Today i decided to trial fit the gen pushers and crown tube to the phong case. I am sure it is no surprise but they do not fit or thread into the case. So now, the next step will be to retap the case for the gen B24 P302 pushers and gen B24 7030 crown tube.So what taps will be needed? Any suggestions would be appreciated from everyone.I would need the correct tap sizes ,tool and which supplier to purchase the tool(s) from.Let the journey begin!!!

Hi gang, i am about to embark on a 6263/5 vintage daytona build.I would like to share my build with everyone and go through it step by step.I would like for it to be a tutorial of some sorts and have everyone in the know and RWG community that has an interest in these daytonas to be involved. Let all work together to build this one and troubleshoot as a team as we go on our little journey!!!Post to this thread if you are interested participating!!! thanks, janeto72
  15. Steven Tyler from the band Aerosmith wears a gaytona and pulls it off pretty good.......he's a wacko job .......though.
  16. Here's what happened to me....i scratched the original see thru case back .I took the watch to my dealer while under warranty. They kept the watch for two weeks and told me to come pick it up.I got a new caseback and the old one back...no charge. I now put a tiny chip in the crystal bevel edge which is hard to see....but no waranty now.....I am afraid to ask what a new crystal will cost........
  17. hey gang, just chipped the sapphire crystal on my carrera date and need a gen crystal to replace it with. Anyone have a gen crystal or havea source to gen one from? thanks, in advance...
