Sweet R. What's the year and movement in this one?

thanks DL..Dems...Red..

Best research I could do puts this one at..1970~77 ... the same model is pre 70's, although I doubt it is in that vintage.. obviously the pexi crystal was changed...

Below are the model and years.. I doubt it is 1968-69 .. so for the benefit of the doubt I put it at 70-77 .. although I'll stand correct.. but this is what I came up with..

The Pro. c.861 Models (Pre & Post Moon):

1968-69 Speedmaster ST145.022:

c.1970?~77? Speedmaster ST145.022

Lani

edit add: .. it could be possible this cal and model came from the 80's also..but looking at the hands and markers I focused on the late 70's..

Very Nice Lani....Early 70"s is my guess based on the bracelet.

I wish I had the money to buy the one I sold to Pugs :-(

Good to see great members with great watches....Enjoy your recovery and your weekend..

Kurt

That was my initial "guess".. but benefit of doubt.. I just placed it somewhere in the 70's..

thank you for the verification Kurt...

and a good weekend to you also my friend !!

A little more info on the models

The Professional c.861 Models (Pre & Post Moon):

1968-1969 Speedmaster ST145.022:

Then there are the "Pre-Moon Pro c.861's" (ST145.022) which have the exact external appearance of the modern moonwatch except for the caseback which bears no mention of NASA or moon landings. These were only made from approximately 1968 through the first part of 1969 and has the older "large Seamonster" case back.

c.1970?~1977? Speedmaster ST145.022:

Then we have the first of the "Post Moon" watches... These are the one's with the large Omega Logo and the words "First watch Worn on the moon"... These were made from late 1969 or 1970 through 1977 or so (I believe that's the date) when the "modern/current" moonwatch back became the installed caseback.

Welcome to the Speedy Club. Now you need to learn the secret battle-cry:

"Moonwards Ho!"

You shout that with your Moonie held aloft a clench-fisted wrist. Moonwards ho.

I'll shout it out in the middle of Waikiki where all the Hookers are workin .... maybe I'll get a discount.. :victory:

Congrats on a beautiful watch, hope your feeling much improved health. I want a vintage now haha :)

Thank you Spec !!.. and thanks to all who took time to chime in on the thread !!

actually all I'm wearing these day's are vintage.. we are (along with the genuine foras) the ones that understand "vintage" from "old" mindset... others look at these pieces as just "old" .. whilst we value them as treasures..

OK P4 .. I'll work on a collection shot of may fav pieces.. not the whole collection.. mainly the gens and some other modded pieces..

Lani

I picture the whole collection something like a Geneva watch museum. Or, a few Mayor's Jewlery stores tacked together. You run your own security obviously.
