tonyp1 Posted January 3, 2010 Report Posted January 3, 2010 This watch has to be the most photogenic of them all!
Demsey Posted January 3, 2010 Report Posted January 3, 2010 I really, really need to take some new shots of this piece. It's just the level of photography here is so high, I have no motivation. However, since you asked.......................
kbh Posted January 3, 2010 Report Posted January 3, 2010 (edited) I agree with Demsey, but I'll go ahead and embarrass myself anyway. Edited January 3, 2010 by kbh
hiker01 Posted January 3, 2010 Report Posted January 3, 2010 Well...... I used to have this: and I turned it into this: ....................and it has been glued to my wrist since!
tonyp1 Posted January 3, 2010 Author Report Posted January 3, 2010 My Gen 6263 Awesome, I've seen a 6263 on a jubilee bracelet. Im getting a bug for a gen rolex of some sort.
gioarmani Posted January 3, 2010 Report Posted January 3, 2010 Man...I'm trying to get away from Rolex, but this is really damn tempting...
Guest HaloArchive Posted January 3, 2010 Report Posted January 3, 2010 Awesome, I've seen a 6263 on a jubilee bracelet. Im getting a bug for a gen rolex of some sort. Yep, on a ss/gold jubilee Sorry for crappy camera phone pics.
arty909 Posted January 3, 2010 Report Posted January 3, 2010 (edited) While we're waiting for freddy333 to chime in and thump us with his amazing shots: here is my mediocre version purchased online before I discovered this forum... ***never mind, he just did! Edited January 3, 2010 by arty909
Demsey Posted January 3, 2010 Report Posted January 3, 2010 Man...I'm trying to get away from Rolex, but this is really damn tempting... Do it Gio, then you can step away. If you were to go 'franken', taking into consideration your 'completion standards' of your other Rlx, you know it would be great. A Swan Song. Nice shots guys! @ Hike I like your Croc on that watch, a lot! Not really a 'strap' kind of guy, but for some reason, a 'Daytona' (of any vintage) on hide is classic. May have to try a swap from my GMT Master II rep strap w/deployant to see if I like it. I wonder how hard it would be to source a gen Rlx blk croc/w deployant...............hmmmmmm
tonyp1 Posted January 3, 2010 Author Report Posted January 3, 2010 So whats a DW 6263 worth these days? I know I havent seen his auctions for complete watches in a long time.
hiker01 Posted January 4, 2010 Report Posted January 4, 2010 Hike!!! that is simply amazinggggg Thanks, my Friend!~ I wish the dial was as "correct" as the shot! That's why I switched it into Black for the correct flat "A" on the "Daytona": Nice shots guys! @ Hike I like your Croc on that watch, a lot! If you do, just remember the 6263 is 19mm on the lugs! Hike
gioarmani Posted January 4, 2010 Report Posted January 4, 2010 You know what great about the vintage Daytonas? Even the inaccurate versions still look awesome.
hiker01 Posted January 4, 2010 Report Posted January 4, 2010 You know what great about the vintage Daytonas? Even the inaccurate versions still look awesome. +1! And the only ones who knows most of the inaccuracies are us!
jeff g Posted January 4, 2010 Report Posted January 4, 2010 6263 and 6265. These babies see little wrist time, but they are beautiful...that is for sure.
jmb Posted January 4, 2010 Report Posted January 4, 2010 The silver dial really looks quite nice! I am not going to buy one, not going to buy, not going to...
Martyd3 Posted January 4, 2010 Report Posted January 4, 2010 Under construction ... Gen Val. 72 ... gone, but not forgotten DW with mystery movement. Should have held on to this one.
gplracer Posted January 4, 2010 Report Posted January 4, 2010 On the way back from the spa up north: Under construction:
tonyp1 Posted January 4, 2010 Author Report Posted January 4, 2010 (edited) gplracer where did you source your paul newman dial? I have a old EE 6263 that Ive held on to. These 6263's are amazing. Edited January 4, 2010 by tonyp1
Guest avitt Posted January 4, 2010 Report Posted January 4, 2010 Avitt those still look nice! Thanks! They look just the same today, as they don't see heavy rotation (although I did wear the black one just this morning )
