New SD1665 released from Puretime

Hello Gang,

Puretime has now released the SD 1665 in a lot of variations.

There is also a Comex No date Sub with a SD Case that is wrong.

The great white has the wrong Caseback also.

But all in all they look good I think.

I also noticed that the Comex 1665 has also a wrong Caseback.

They must update this also.

Would love to see Bezel assembly on this ones.

But for 198 USD it's a really good deal in my opinion.

Im gonna get one for sure! But I am confused by the dials. So many to choose from. I am probably getting one of the DRSD

But what dial. Anyone point me in the direction of some info about the different ones?

Also the great white dial is wrong with font types and fonts alignment being way off.

What the heck, I ordered a GWSD. I guess I could always put a Yuki dial in there if it bothers me. But this watch already has $300 worth of mods so I'm money ahead!

I am a bit less whelmed than the rest of you. The cases all look like the same fare we have been getting from other dealers & the dials all leave much to be desired. The 5514, the best of the bunch in my opinion, looks like they got the Comex font nearly right (& it may even be painted, which is even better). But, then, the lume color is hideous & all of the hour markers are misaligned. In fact, looking at it again, even the white Comex block was printed at an angle

All in all, I am not sure what all the excitement is about? Feh

from that pic, looks like the hour markers don't align with the hash marks around the outside of the dial. Looks like a rush job?

Dial 2 is the best one. All of the other ones, the crown is screwed up and, the L aligns best under the cornet on #2

I think the markers being off may just be an optical trick - viewing these dials from the front it looks like they line up ok:

But the #3 is not bad either..

IMO dial #2 has too bold print. Each of the 3 dials above use different font, different minute track....

I would like one of these, but I think I'm going to wait fror version V5.11111 in about 6 months!. It seems like every rep is coming from the dealers with problems, that are then solved, but on an incrimental basis.

Good point, most likely the bezel construction isn't like the gen, else a pic would have showed it off.

Nevertheless price/product- wise it beats the cartel version.

You are allright for the flaws,but anyway it's a good Deal.

On a MBW there are much Mods and money involved to get it right.

You must it see as a base watch. For the money we got a slow beat movement

and the bracelet and endlinks looks also good.

Must see the Case and bezel construction in flesh.

Maybe the Lugs don't need to drilled.

When I hve some cash I will order one an d make a comparsion

This watch/dial is, by far, the best of the bunch & it still looks wrong (but I do like the insert). In my opinion, this watch would move into the acceptable range if retrofitted with a better handset (these hands all look fake, fake, fake) & if Ziggy relumed the dial with less obviously fake lume. Still, all in all, I think you would be better off with an out-of-the-box MBW.
