JoJo35 Posted February 25, 2010 Report Posted February 25, 2010 The nerve of some of these bastards on ebay... In particular, check out this auction: http://cgi.ebay.com/Rolex-Vintage-CHRONO-DAYTONA-Mens-Steel-Watch-6263_W0QQitemZ320490054657QQcategoryZ31387QQcmdZViewItem So many obvious things wrong with it, yet this SOB still has the balls to set a reserve on the auction. 93% feedback, pictures that clearly show the flaws, and still people are ignorant enough to bid on it!
FxrAndy Posted February 25, 2010 Report Posted February 25, 2010 About 100kms from me, any want to do an in person pick up
alligoat Posted February 25, 2010 Report Posted February 25, 2010 I always love to see a pointer on the balance bridge- what happened to the microstella balance?
JoJo35 Posted February 25, 2010 Author Report Posted February 25, 2010 I always love to see a pointer on the balance bridge- what happened to the microstella balance? When the entire movement is fake, what difference does one more wrong part make! lol
fakemaster Posted February 26, 2010 Report Posted February 26, 2010 Only $8600. Where do you guys think it will end up?
freddy333 Posted February 26, 2010 Report Posted February 26, 2010 The thing that surprises me is that most people automatically think an ebay rating of anything above 90% automatically indicates reliability when nothing could be further from the truth. Generally, anything below about 99% is cause for concern, especially when the seller has a history totaling fewer than 200 (Rolex-related) items. ebay really ought to revamp their rating system to make it more meaningful to those who need it most.
indyberetta Posted February 26, 2010 Report Posted February 26, 2010 Agree...if he was honest and would say that it is not original, that might be a different story...but over $8k and no reserve met...damn. Probably a $2500 watch at most...for the franken love. There are lots of stupid people in the world...
plaifender Posted February 26, 2010 Report Posted February 26, 2010 Let's bring this guy down! I've submitted 2 reports already.. hopefully we can get it shut down!

lhooq Posted March 1, 2010 Report Posted March 1, 2010 Gee whiz... I try to do my homework and still agonize over purchases worth $150. To drop 100x that amount on an impulse is unthinkable.
asciwhite Posted March 1, 2010 Report Posted March 1, 2010 Ouch!!! Someone just lost heaps of money Poor bugger that bought it... This forum reminds me of the feud of blackhats vs whitehat hackers. We (this forum) as whitehats trying to tell people the methods of the blackhats who scam people
OSRep Posted March 1, 2010 Report Posted March 1, 2010 sold for 15,000... damnit.. i guess we can't stop em all!      FTW!!!!!!!! No way???
mjmj Posted March 2, 2010 Report Posted March 2, 2010 How do you warn the buyer that he or she is not getting what they think they are getting? What can be done about this? I always wonder what Ebay does to protect buyers. As 15k is alot of money
plaifender Posted March 2, 2010 Report Posted March 2, 2010 WE can't do anything.... As it's an online auction.. the identity is kept private, except between buyer and seller.. sucks. Ebay can't do anything.. They were just too slow to react on this one!
stilty Posted March 2, 2010 Report Posted March 2, 2010 ouch! buyer beware. no mention that the case is genuine or the movement. everything else was listed as genuine.
