FxrAndy Posted June 9, 2010 Author Report Posted June 9, 2010 That is good news!i wont ever go deeper than 3.5 in a pool i think.
Ronin Posted June 9, 2010 Report Posted June 9, 2010 MBW's seem to pretty solid in this area. My MBW 5513 just passed a pressure test to 100ft.
FxrAndy Posted June 9, 2010 Author Report Posted June 9, 2010 I have an elma leak checker so i have a bit of peace of mind before i swim. I would only say it is good for 50m WR testing but that is fine for what i do

FxrAndy Posted June 10, 2010 Author Report Posted June 10, 2010 No film this time but i have just had a hard session of PT in the pool, a good 80min of hard work out and the 1680 is fine I build a 1665 MBW for Saso in the past,he tested it on a local watchsmith up to 300m all this talk above has me thinking about the construction of MBWs they are made with the same design and assuming it is 316ss the same material now would they pass the dial depth if put together properly?? who can test to 660ft or 2000ft????????
Gorilladame Posted June 10, 2010 Report Posted June 10, 2010 who can test to 660ft or 2000ft???????? Sinn in Frankfurt ;-)
Member X Posted June 11, 2010 Report Posted June 11, 2010 Or find someone doing submersible work and strap it to the side of the mini-sub
FxrAndy Posted June 11, 2010 Author Report Posted June 11, 2010 Sinn in Frankfurt ;-) Hmmm i wonder if they would let me test an MBW there???????????????
UT Horn Posted June 11, 2010 Report Posted June 11, 2010 Great video, Andy! I have a MBW 1665 on the way and I plan on using it in the pool frequently. Great to hear all the other responses too.
im2 Posted June 18, 2010 Report Posted June 18, 2010 I have posted several times that i have actually DIVED (20 m deep) with my reps: A wm9 v2 sub and an ultimate DSN 111h I have taken my sub always at the sea, no problem at all. I took it on sunday, i will take it tomorrow as well.... I will post pics soon to clear things..
FxrAndy Posted June 18, 2010 Author Report Posted June 18, 2010 I dont see why people think reps cant be water resistant, as long as the correct gaskets are in place
UT Horn Posted June 18, 2010 Report Posted June 18, 2010 I dont see why people think reps cant be water resistant, as long as the correct gaskets are in place I just took my new MBW 1665 into the pool last night. I only went down about 7', but no problems at all.
hiker01 Posted June 18, 2010 Report Posted June 18, 2010 Almost all my SUBS, Explorer, GMTs, SDs and Pam Pre-As, Pre-Vs, Marina's and AP ROOs sec@12 passed their 10ATM test! I took my Safari Diving to 100ft last year!
