Guest Sql_pl Posted July 26, 2010 Report Posted July 26, 2010 I'd love to share with you my joy, as I just got something I wanted to buy for quite some time! Any idea what that is?
slickdick Posted July 26, 2010 Report Posted July 26, 2010 Considering the pics i'd say its a Rolex wristwatch. Congrats!
Guest Sql_pl Posted July 26, 2010 Report Posted July 26, 2010 OK, cannot keep my mouth shut any longer Here it is! Finally after many years, 1 CN rep 116520, 1 Franken-16520, I managed to get the gen. Nice feeling.
marcoxxx1984 Posted July 26, 2010 Report Posted July 26, 2010 Friend now you have this beauty if you want to sell one of your babies (rolex, AP ROO) keep me in line!
Guest Sql_pl Posted July 26, 2010 Report Posted July 26, 2010 Here are the pics of the steps that lead me to where I am now: First Sec@6 CN Rep: Franken-16520 Made of all gen parts apart from movement (which was ebel 134 el primero) My friend's gen 16520 that was my loaner for a few days: And now this, gen Y-serial 116520:
By-Tor Posted July 26, 2010 Report Posted July 26, 2010 Congrats. I know the feeling. For me it was 16710. Was it tough to choose between black and white?
marcoxxx1984 Posted July 26, 2010 Report Posted July 26, 2010 where did you get this "Sec@6 CN Rep"??? it looks very nice!!
marsupilami Posted July 26, 2010 Report Posted July 26, 2010 congrats m. I guess as a real watchlovers we all end in buying genuines. or at least good frankens :-)
Guest Sql_pl Posted July 26, 2010 Report Posted July 26, 2010 Was it tough to choose between black and white? I always prefered black dial in 16520 El Primero one and white in newer 116520 in-house. If I had a choice I guess it would be white dial but this one I found 160 km from my house and for the price I could not say no to. I may swap dials somewhere down the road, I already had one genuine 116520 dial in white that I sold few months ago:
Guest Sql_pl Posted July 26, 2010 Report Posted July 26, 2010 Now I need to try to rep this picture with my pool, my gf and my Tona
marcoxxx1984 Posted July 26, 2010 Report Posted July 26, 2010 Here are the pics of the steps that lead me to where I am now: First Sec@6 CN Rep: From where this beauty came from?? It's really a good rep!!
Guest Sql_pl Posted July 26, 2010 Report Posted July 26, 2010 (edited) Marco, the rep came from EddieLee, right after they released their sec@6 models. It was really great, just too thick. Bezel was way too angled. Chrono pushers were too long and CG needed a little work but apart from that it was very very nice. Dial was amazingly good, now that I look at the gen I see my old rep dial in it Edited July 26, 2010 by Sql_pl
Cats Posted July 26, 2010 Report Posted July 26, 2010 Congrats Sql_pl with your great Daytona. Please shoot a new pool shot , cause you definitely need a new picture with the gen. Carpe Diem Cats
