signumboy Posted December 20, 2010 Author Report Posted December 20, 2010 well for me short hands would be a dead giveaway. As for the bracelet I think they wear different on different wrist size's anyway.
ryaku Posted December 20, 2010 Report Posted December 20, 2010 As for the bracelet I think they wear different on different wrist size's anyway. that's so true, I don't have a huge wrist and that's why it is a remarkable flaw for me
signumboy Posted December 21, 2010 Author Report Posted December 21, 2010 The link shots , gen on the left.
ryaku Posted December 21, 2010 Report Posted December 21, 2010 Thanks mate, appreciated It looks better than the 4th gen PO, i guess i'll place a PO the first week of January.
Rolexman Posted December 21, 2010 Report Posted December 21, 2010 Awesome rep... counting the hours before mine arrives Thanks SB for all the great pics!
duduto Posted December 21, 2010 Report Posted December 21, 2010 Great comparison,, thanks for sharing
mojako Posted December 21, 2010 Report Posted December 21, 2010 According to Josh this will accept GEN parts like the crystal and the bezel. I hope that is true! His price is a little steep though - $298 + $45 EMS shipping. Any other dealers that you guys recommend?
rcook Posted December 21, 2010 Report Posted December 21, 2010 According to Josh this will accept GEN parts like the crystal and the bezel. I hope that is true! His price is a little steep though - $298 + $45 EMS shipping. Any other dealers that you guys recommend? That's for the ETA movement, you can get a 25j asian clone for $50 or Josh is currently selling the UVPO with the DG4813 movement for $128+shipping
mojako Posted December 21, 2010 Report Posted December 21, 2010 @rcook, yeah I saw that.. but I want to mod the watch in the future, which means I need to swap in an ETA movement if I was to replace the dial and hands... so I think it would be better for me (in the long run) to purchase the ETA version.
danza1812 Posted December 22, 2010 Report Posted December 22, 2010 Quick question about the clasp Signumboy, is the rep clasp too thick like the 4th gen or does it now sit flush with the bracelet when closed? A comparison of the clasps would be great.
signumboy Posted December 22, 2010 Author Report Posted December 22, 2010 No the clasp is good there are no issues with it.
magagne Posted December 22, 2010 Report Posted December 22, 2010 Too lousy to find this info in the Movement Q&A section Is the Asian 4813 can be a direct swap (same pigon hand size) for a DG4813 ($30 mvt) in case that the mvt crash?
mjmurphy926 Posted December 22, 2010 Report Posted December 22, 2010 Great post signum...Thanks! I think this will have to be my next purchase.
cib0rgman Posted December 22, 2010 Report Posted December 22, 2010 What I am really wondering is the crown and the tube will it hold up and not gave up like all the 45UPO I end up installing a gen tube and crown on mine.
mojako Posted December 22, 2010 Report Posted December 22, 2010 @signumboy, are you planning to mod this with GEN parts?
signumboy Posted December 22, 2010 Author Report Posted December 22, 2010 No I'm not planning any mods. As for the crown and tube I would say it has plenty of thread but the crown appears a little loose when unscrewed.
woof* Posted December 23, 2010 Report Posted December 23, 2010 Awesome post! Great pictures and info too. I ordered one and it shipped yesterday. I am kinda wishing I had gotten the swiss movement now.
mojako Posted December 23, 2010 Report Posted December 23, 2010 @signumboy, figured that, because you already have a GEN. Thanks for all the comparison pictures though. Does anybody know if the GEN Crystal will fit?
valerian Posted December 24, 2010 Report Posted December 24, 2010 That is a great post! Thanks for all the pix! I have just placed an order for an orange one. Val.
Akilles Posted December 25, 2010 Report Posted December 25, 2010 I have the older version of SPO and there are two things that I can't stand. The annoing gap on the bracelet but the worst thing for me are the green-ish bars. They don't look white on mine, more like a fix of green/white/beige in daylight. It looks like the Omega logotype is quite correct placed but I can't understand; How hard can it be to make a perfect/correct adjustment of the logotype with one millimeter if they can make a the rest of the watch almost perfect?
rychastings Posted December 25, 2010 Report Posted December 25, 2010 I wonder when this will start to come to the other dealers like watchinternational?
Supremej Posted December 29, 2010 Report Posted December 29, 2010 Hello guy~ I want see another Gen vs Rep Lumeshot~! let's go picture~!hh thanks

Century Posted December 31, 2010 Report Posted December 31, 2010 Too lousy to find this info in the Movement Q&A section Is the Asian 4813 can be a direct swap (same pigon hand size) for a DG4813 ($30 mvt) in case that the mvt crash? I'm curious about this too, anyone know? I'm so close to hitting that buy button.
amptor Posted January 1, 2011 Report Posted January 1, 2011 It is a very fine rep and thanks for the pics of the b&w version. I am considering this one. I just am hung up on either 21j or 25j although the price leans me toward the 21j on the b&w. b&w 42.5mm is james bond's watch. he wore one in one of the last films but I forgot which film and what scene(s). usually he was wearing a 45mm but not always.
