Breakdown: Gen 1500 case Gen Crown/Tube Gen crystal Yuki dial Movement Gen ETA2892 And just added, Gen 7835 bracelet. If anyone has a set of endlinks I could use them as this bracelet has a mis-matched pair. Still need a decent set of hands. Feedback expected and appreciated.

Important note: This is not an Explorer (1016), it is a 1500 Oyster Perpetual Date. The dial is an Explorer precision dial(Smaller than the 1016) The crystal is original to the case.

freddy333 Posted March 10, 2011 Report Posted March 10, 2011 I think the weakest link is the dial, which is not bad. But if you are looking to improve the watch, I would start there. After that, swap in a gen movement & call it quits.
Justasgood Posted March 10, 2011 Author Report Posted March 10, 2011 Freddy, That would defeat my purpose. The watch was a donor for my now gone PG 5512. I gave the Gen dial to Justin. So I had the case sitting in a drawer and decided to throw together a low cost franken. After I get some hands that match, this one will be done.
