lhooq Posted June 3, 2011 Report Posted June 3, 2011 Let's play Spot-the-Difference: Perhaps the changes are easier to see from behind: Full story coming soon!
Migge Posted June 3, 2011 Report Posted June 3, 2011 Different subdial spacing? First 7750 second with valjoux 72?
praetor Posted June 3, 2011 Report Posted June 3, 2011 (edited) hmm let's see (the second one compared to the first one) a new dial a 200 uph bezel. a new bracelet - folded links. I love the dial on the second one, where did you source it? Edited June 3, 2011 by praetor
freddy333 Posted June 3, 2011 Report Posted June 3, 2011 Watch on right might be a gen (cannot be certain from that angle).
cht Posted June 3, 2011 Report Posted June 3, 2011 The large/wide hour/minute hands on the second pic look awefully nice!
alligoat Posted June 3, 2011 Report Posted June 3, 2011 I'm w/ migge on this- first is a 7750 dial, second is a V72. Bezels are also different- second is a 50/200, first is a 60/300. Is this the V72 6239 you've been working on? I do see the Fuerza Aerea on the back!
chiman12 Posted June 3, 2011 Report Posted June 3, 2011 Geez L...that dial really looks nice now that it is all cased up!!!
Jkay Posted June 3, 2011 Report Posted June 3, 2011 Also the watch on the right does not have the case "tumor" you talk so much about.
alligoat Posted June 4, 2011 Report Posted June 4, 2011 The pics on RWI and RG came out better! But the new V72 sure looks like a winner. The first ever 6239 FAP....
lhooq Posted June 4, 2011 Author Report Posted June 4, 2011 Watch on right might be a gen (cannot be certain from that angle). This was the last comment I read last night, so I went to bed pretty happy! It's an honor for me (and surely for Justin) that you would even consider the possibility. It's not a gen, but it does have a significant amount of gen bits, and I tried to address the familiar tells. There are some angles that are less flattering, but I think it came out pretty well, overall. Thanks for the early feedback, everyone! I've been obsessing over tiny details these past several months, and it's easy to lose the bigger picture and not realize what others are seeing.

Had you not had that, I would have said it 'might be a V72-powered franken'. Well done.
