watcher
Today I received my DW from a great member in the U.S. It is a standard watch so far apart from changing the crown as the original was slipping when being wound. This crown looks pretty good but is a rep crown but I will leave it for now I think. I guess this is the mystery movement inside(pic attached) but I guess the DW experts will confirm that. It works fine but the main second hand moves around a little at 12. Now to let the mods begin. Crystal first then we'll see as I'm going to be building a V72 model shortly.....damn these things get under your skin!!! Here's a couple of quick pics. Guest avitt
Nice!!! These things are the "starter drug" for vintage Daytona addicts...kind of like marijuana. I predict that you'll be a full-fledged VJ72 crackhead in no time

watcher
Welcome to the club..... This one started it and now just waiting to get stuck into your case my friend!!! It now all depends on how far the cash will stretch to a V72 movement!! @Nanuq Is that a good thing?.....old case style.
Watchmeister
Old case is a good thing. Welcome to the club. I am a beneficiary of Ubi's work on that one. My mystery movement is keeping time to within a minute per week. If you have any issues with movement start begging Ziggy.

kingkitesurf
Darn, I hope to be in that DW club soon. My first DW VJ23 order (over 6 weeks ago) got confescated by his government and unlike other dealers on the board he does not resend a watch until it get's delivered... I had ordered it with an extra movement...He only accepts WU. $450 completely down the drain!!! He kept communicating good though but a loss is a loss. And yes it is the real DW in Asia and not the US based scammer (HWILG). Now I reordered another one (fingers crossed), and he promised me to have it disguised when sent. It's been over two weeks and I am getting really nervous... Maybe I win more when trying my luck in the Casino! In the end I hope to be a clubmember (within reasonable cashflow) If it works ou I will try the VJ72 kit... Do you run risk with sending that as well? Cheers Job
