mrlittletlm Posted May 18, 2012 Report Posted May 18, 2012 Hey guys, I ordered a BK DSSD last week and while I am still waiting for it to arrive, the noob factory DSSD has a laser engrave/print version of the clasp. I know its not a big deal since most people do not see it. So my question to people who owns the BK DSSD, did you guys change the clasp? Apart from the clasp, is there any differences between the 2 bracelet?
StormTooper4 Posted May 19, 2012 Report Posted May 19, 2012 Thanks for putting this together , really appreciate the effort

For me I don't like the inaccuracies of the crown guards, isn't a good enough rep, shame a genuine SD is so expensive.
Kevin18 Posted May 19, 2012 Report Posted May 19, 2012 The crown guards look about the same size to me. The actual crown is noticably wider though.
Kevin18 Posted May 19, 2012 Report Posted May 19, 2012 Btw does anyknow if if this http://www.trustytime.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=221&products_id=2614 Is as high quality as the $128 ultimate in the OP?

I am really confused how nobody else here is seeing how bad the CG's really are? Totally wrong size, shape, angle and legnth! Really, for a base project SD case set, this is not the case to go with, I would wait for the next version that will no doubt be released......

Mickey Padge Posted May 19, 2012 Report Posted May 19, 2012 yeah i mentioned it, but a $128 beater you gotta admit its great value Yep, as I said, a great watch for a beater, but that's about it. The more expensive Swiss version has the same poor case set as this after all I would be all over a high quality SD rep, there just hasn't been one released yet
cougar1 Posted May 19, 2012 Report Posted May 19, 2012 Great pics and comparison, sure there's lots of flaws but for the price can't go wrong, once the insert/hideous pearl was changed there was really an immediate difference. Great beater!

I hope so. I have an old one, and desperately waiting for a really accurate one. I like how the SD doesn't have an ugly cyclops like the sub.

chrgod Posted May 21, 2012 Report Posted May 21, 2012 Great comparison review! This reminds me of the good old days on the forum, with several excellent posts like this!
Gw4k Posted May 21, 2012 Author Report Posted May 21, 2012 I really do not see what the big deal is with the crown and the CGs.And I own the Gen lol: I seriously doubt someone is going to call you out on these "flaws" ZOmG that dude has a fake, look at those CGs!
Gw4k Posted May 28, 2012 Author Report Posted May 28, 2012 Whats Memorial Day without BBQ and Pool time!
the_rymeister Posted May 28, 2012 Report Posted May 28, 2012 Wow this looks great. Thanks for taking the time to put this comparison together, I think it looks great for $128, that is such a small amount of money for a great watch. You can only notice these differences as its next to the gen.may have to add one to the collection
dluddy Posted May 29, 2012 Report Posted May 29, 2012 Wow, not sure how I missed this one. Great write-up. Incredible build for $128 New pearl and crown and can't go wrong for the money
woof* Posted May 30, 2012 Report Posted May 30, 2012 I got the chance to play with one over the last couple days. Honestly it's a very good rep. Crystal seems a tad tall and the crown too. Other than that(and it's minor) it's really good. Fit and finish is awesome. If your hesitating because of the comparisons to the SSD don't. Also the crown gards are not too bad. I have a modded SSD I love, but any plus's against that the Superlume dial makes up for it. I put a gen insert in a friends and it looks killer on this watch.
Rolexman Posted May 30, 2012 Report Posted May 30, 2012 WOW how did I almost mis this post? Great write up! Never knew how accurate it really was. A new insert or pearl in combination with a Clark Crystal and one is set to go Wear it wel!
modelizer Posted May 30, 2012 Report Posted May 30, 2012 Not sure how I missed this post either?! Excellent comparison Gw4k! Looks pretty good apart from that tall crown and weird rep factory pearl!
