I just thought, how bazaar. Looking at reps from 40,000 ft somewhere over the atlantic (heading for Sofia). They now have free internet on Lufthansa's 747's. I just can't get away from this forum.

Wow, now I want to fly Lufthansa just so I can browse RWG while I fly!!! So the question is, where can I go on Lufthansa?!?!

This has to be some kind of record, can anyone beat the 40K thing? Where's Jetmid when you need him, he had to have the internet on his private jet and it probably skipped across the atmosphere at mach 7 and had a T1 connection or maybe a direct satellite link with NASA or something.

I once flew the German fighter plane Fokker which was pretty damn perfect, besides the misspelled [censored]er on the panel.

Yeah last time I was on a Lufthansa 747 there were crap old TV's on the roof spaced along the middle and the thing shook and rattled like nothing had been tightened since it was made in the 70s! Plus the food left a lot to be desired. Singapore Airlines and Emirates are my fav.

I had free internet on Lufthansa Economy flying from EU to LAX two weeks ago and then back last week. The only problem in Economy is lack of space to put your laptop in front of you...unless you have a micromachine. To me food sucks on all airlines...if you can't afford first class. It allways reminds me of field meals we had in the army...

I'm back down to earth in Sofia. I was business class so had plenty of room. What was interesting was that the wireless on the 747 seemed faster than most??

BTW, Lufthansa 747 business class is the best of the European airlines in my view. I will use it whenever I can now.

Yeah, they even have cell towers on cruise ships now - its still crazy expensive - but good for emergencies

Thanks for the great insight Robert, I'll look into business class Luftansa next time to EU. Have a good trip, did you bring your Viagra Blue IWC? I'm always flying at thousands of feet too when I log into the rep. forums, but its usually from the results of a bottle.

Yup, I did. Enjoying on my wrist as we type. Take it easy on the bottle. I prefer a joint. that way I don't tend to lose consciousness..........just a little reality.
