What is the best replica up to date? for the ending year 2012

Lately i have been wondering in what is the creme de la creme replica till this day. Im not and expert on reps, but i have owned reps from most of our reputable dealers for almost a 10 years. Ive had some recent reps which i have worn on the daily for some time and have that gen feeling, quality and durability. Like i learned back in the day that a 500M diver watch is not just a number that measures how deep it can go, it mostly means how durable and well built it is, made to last a lifetime.

Which do you guys think are those up to date all star reps???

Hey,

I actually have the same question.... long time member but been away from the rep market a few years.

I have bought 20+ watches from Joshua and a lot of spare parts from Davidsen, I don´t even know if these guys are still around?

Well, i´m going to enjoy spending a few hours finding everything out again...

But question still remain, best of the best 2012?

AP Diver V3 may be the best rep of all time

Other notable great recent reps

Pam 243 noob v2

Pam 111 noob v3

Pam 029 noob v2

JLC Navy Seals Diver

There has been some huge improvements lately but also additional challenges

Pros: genuine superlume now being used by rep factories in many but not all cases, much better ar, finer details 10x better

Cons: recent crackdowns have changed things. Some watches stay back ordered for months, some dealers are not selling certain watches/factories, pricing is going up

You can no longer pick your dealer and then pick your watch

You have to pick your watch down to whet actual factory makes it than choose a dealer that may best for that watch

Anything noob factory angus and toro seem to be best connected

Anything h factory josh and Andrew seem to be the best connected

sorry maybe a little ot, but i dont think this is necessarily true. there are invictas and deep blues that boast 1000m or more water resistant but i doubt theyre anymore durable or well built than a run of the mill 100mm japanese or swiss watch. also for durability id look at something with attention to shockproof, treated metals and anti-magnetic ratings which unfortunately most reps don't have :(. not that they're not well built.

also, while it's not 2012 a 1:1 Tudor Black Bay super rep is in the works, scheduled for early next year. possibly a Pelagos after.

Noob's PAM111 v3 is pretty accurate. Not perfect but pretty close. With an incabloc mod it becomes very hard to distinguish rep from gen at naked eye.

Best is to buy a SA rep and franken it. Fairly inexpensive and the end result is amazing.

I'd have to disagree with you regarding it being hard to distinguish. I think once you know what to look for they become easier esp to the trained eye. Depends on who is looking at it :D

But I'd have to agree, sounds like the best rep to date. With a very good CG, sounds like the watch to get.

I'm hoping the 386M 1.1 would get improved and become a super-rep too. It has potential but not there yet :(

The Noob V2 243 when you factor in the improvement in the fine details, 99% accuracy to gen and overall fit and finish. And they finally perfected the rubber strap. Hopefully they will do the same for the 024 in 2013 :)

I have to agree on the rubber strap. It's the best rep strap I've had to date although i do have a kain heritage on the way. This is the first Pam I've received without a wobbly CG lever. I did use the dental floss mod on the bezel which made it perfect. I was wondering how the lume color compared to the gen not in brightness but in shade of green.
