Rolexman Posted February 23, 2013 Report Posted February 23, 2013 You be the judge This is an 78350 compared.
Guest zeleni kukuruz Posted February 23, 2013 Report Posted February 23, 2013 REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP!!! @R, i have a hard time finding close up pics every [censored] time when it comes to stuff like this! Thanks mate
Rolexman Posted February 23, 2013 Report Posted February 23, 2013 You're welcome. Know that there are some differences between clasps so not rep persé. What bracelet type is it? From a Jubilee?http://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=266643
Guest zeleni kukuruz Posted February 23, 2013 Report Posted February 23, 2013 Yes jubilee. Thanks for the link
dieselpower Posted February 23, 2013 Report Posted February 23, 2013 FWIW I thought it was gen. The coronet looks 'right' somehow, tall and slim, just looks right. Rep ones always look wrong, fat blobs etc.
danielv2000 Posted February 23, 2013 Report Posted February 23, 2013 It looks gen to me. As Diesel said, it looks tall and just "right"
SSTEEL Posted February 23, 2013 Report Posted February 23, 2013 Is it a rep buckle? [censored], did i post this already a few weeks back, [censored] cant even remember. That's a gen is it not?

automatico Posted February 23, 2013 Report Posted February 23, 2013 One quick way to spot a replica DJ, OPD, Ex I etc clasp cap is it will usually have 6 adjustment holes where genuines have 7. Some replicas have very good coronets and are hard to tell from genuine.

janeto72 Posted February 23, 2013 Report Posted February 23, 2013 so..from what I can tell...the clasp part with coronet is 100 percent gen.....however with that said....the clasp blade is not gen.....seems like your clasp is a hybrid of sorts...
Guest zeleni kukuruz Posted February 23, 2013 Report Posted February 23, 2013 Im getting more and more dizzy
1680 Posted February 24, 2013 Report Posted February 24, 2013 so..from what I can tell...the clasp part with coronet is 100 percent gen.....however with that said....the clasp blade is not gen.....seems like your clasp is a hybrid of sorts... why can say that? janeto72 Posted February 24, 2013 Report Posted February 24, 2013 why can say that? I've never seen any gen clasp with 6 adjustment holes, that is always the biggest tell... measure the clasp with the coronet....width x length....and tell us what you come up with......there should be seven holes but i have seen six when a clasp has been shortened due to damage on the last holes????Ihope i'm right otherwise someone is making some impressive clasp coronets...
dropbear2008 Posted February 24, 2013 Report Posted February 24, 2013 I agree with the rest. The outer shell with coronet is gen, the blades don't look right.

Thats interesting, have you a photo of such a clasp? Z: if you can, please post a pic from the side.
kbh Posted February 24, 2013 Report Posted February 24, 2013 Your one hole short. Doesn't look at all like my gen DJ Jubilee. Also, the stamping is for a Two Tone bracelet.
Guest zeleni kukuruz Posted February 24, 2013 Report Posted February 24, 2013 So can we all say now that its a rep?
Mike on a bike Posted February 24, 2013 Report Posted February 24, 2013 "Z" Now I am dizzy , holes, stamping, cornet height....................... Ok, go the easy way Gen 7 holes yours 6 , REP.
dieselpower Posted February 24, 2013 Report Posted February 24, 2013 Just checked the 2 gen bracelets that I have. One 7835 one 78350 both clasps have 7 adjustment holes. All my reps have 6. Fancy thinking that 'right' looking coronet meant it was gen. Pah! What a fool, what a fool I've been. You live and learn
