neomentat Posted November 2, 2013 Report Posted November 2, 2013 Hi RWG, I'm a new member here. I've read alot of good info here and have ordered accordingly. But I have run into a bait and switch problem with one of the forum's trusted sellers, I'm looking for support to get the situation resolved. If all else fails at least I can warn others of how my $631 order of an UPO & an ETA clone Rolex turned into two cheap Asian 21J watch costing half that much at my door. BTW, can someone please let me know how to contact admin?
vlydog Posted November 2, 2013 Report Posted November 2, 2013 Welcome to the forum! Sorry about your misfortune. Simple send admin a PM. Good luck.
SSTEEL Posted November 2, 2013 Report Posted November 2, 2013 Sorry to hear. Best drop admin a pm rather than post anything else on the matter, however now you have started the thread, I guess its just a matter of time when some members curiosity gets the better of them. http://www.rwgforum.net/user/32-nanuq/
Tonyyammine Posted November 2, 2013 Report Posted November 2, 2013 Oh boy. Did u contact the TD? Let the mods help u.
neomentat Posted November 2, 2013 Author Report Posted November 2, 2013 I'm happy to report that the seller has agreed to issue me a refund upon me shipping the watches back once I contacted the Admin here. I will keep you guys updated as this progresses, I'm keeping my fingers crossed and hope the seller will honor this commitment once I send it back.
Nanuq Posted November 2, 2013 Report Posted November 2, 2013 I'm glad you got it straightened out.Welcome to our forum!
neomentat Posted November 20, 2013 Author Report Posted November 20, 2013 I'm happy to report that after a long and PITA process and 50+ emails I finally got my refund. It seems like this particular "trusted dealer" is concerned about a bad review on RWG ruining their business. Thank you RWG! I would not have gotten my money back without you guys.
Tonyyammine Posted November 21, 2013 Report Posted November 21, 2013 You should say the name so the guys here make sure this TD doesnt try this crap again.
torobravo Posted November 21, 2013 Report Posted November 21, 2013 Welcome to the club, who was the dealer?
Tonyyammine Posted November 21, 2013 Report Posted November 21, 2013 If you got Toro asking you its a great idea to answer.
martijnp Posted November 21, 2013 Report Posted November 21, 2013 Great to hear that everyting worked out for you. Welcome to RWG!
PeteM Posted November 21, 2013 Report Posted November 21, 2013 Unfortunately it is not as rare as guys might think.... most dont even realise.... Glad it got sorted eventually..
indywatchguy Posted November 24, 2013 Report Posted November 24, 2013 They're call trusted for a reason! Who is it? And maybe admin should put them on probation.
PeteM Posted December 3, 2013 Report Posted December 3, 2013 Hi RWG, I'm a new member here. I've read alot of good info here and have ordered accordingly. If all else fails at least I can warn others of how my $631 order of an UPO & an ETA clone Rolex turned into two cheap Asian 21J watch costing half that much at my door. BTW, can someone please let me know how to contact admin? remember if you up grade your membership you can get many more features and access much more info and advice...and of course you can post in the trade section too !! And if you go to the general discussion forum and look at this thread http://www.rwgforum....47-next-raffle/ You see there is a great incentive apart from the above to upgrade and its very cheap to do it and also you can do it monthly for just a couple of bucks
bvc Posted January 8, 2014 Report Posted January 8, 2014 remember if you up grade your membership you can get many more features and access much more info and advice...and of course you can post in the trade section too !! And if you go to the general discussion forum and look at this thread http://www.rwgforum....47-next-raffle/ You see there is a great incentive apart from the above to upgrade and its very cheap to do it and also you can do it monthly for just a couple of bucks Now I know I'm not speaking out of turn, and based on this thread I will be upgrading, I would like to know who the td was? I'm sure I'm not the only one either. I will also be checking my Swiss eta's. Bvc
juicemouse Posted January 21, 2014 Report Posted January 21, 2014 Also curious who the dealer is and hope it's not the same TD that I just placed my order with
Nightwatch Posted January 22, 2014 Report Posted January 22, 2014 Hi and welcome to RWG. Good Your problem could be sorted out. Wish You more luck with the next order.
droptopman Posted January 23, 2014 Report Posted January 23, 2014 Did we ever get the information on the TD involved in this?
Texandromeo Posted January 23, 2014 Report Posted January 23, 2014 Which TD ? Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk
borz Posted January 26, 2014 Report Posted January 26, 2014 We all know the swiss ETA myth by now (i.e.there's no such thing as swiss eta in reps, hasn't been for quite a few years now - you're still getting asian even if you pay $200 for the alleged swiss upgrade,) but am I the only one who finds all those alleged timegrapher results in QC photos highly suspicious? Doesn't it seem strange how a dirty, unlubricated asian movement is running with timing and amplitude of a freshly serviced Rolex at the dealer, and then it's +/- 45s when it arrives at your doorstep?
hambone Posted January 27, 2014 Report Posted January 27, 2014 I concur that it is a ray of light that allowed you to be relieved of the angst of a deal gone sour. Wishing you the best as you continue the quest for watches.
