archibald Posted April 23, 2007 Report Posted April 23, 2007 Hi, The caseback is real wood insert.. Same construction like the genuine.. I have not got the prices yet..It will not be cheap though.. Swiss movt should be avail for this watch.. Once info is in, I will update on my web and send out the mailers.. Stay tuned. Thanks Joshua Sorry if this nitpick is already buried somehwere in this thread--the insert looks like real wood to me, but the difference between gen and rep is that the metal boat appears inlaid into the wood on the gen and glued on top of the wood on the rep. But it's a lot like engraved backs--anyone who knows what this watch is supposed to look like will spot its repness via other flaws (e.g. the bezel, dial finish, etc) long before they get to the piece of wood on the back.

MK08 Posted April 25, 2007 Report Posted April 25, 2007 (edited) Hi all just got an e-mail from Angus. He said this should hopefully be availible by the end of the week. Guess we just got to wait and see. Edited April 25, 2007 by MK08
lfovco Posted April 25, 2007 Report Posted April 25, 2007 It's probably better to wait longer and have a better final product.
jkerouac Posted April 26, 2007 Report Posted April 26, 2007 It's probably better to wait longer and have a better final product. By that measure it had better be one of the very best reps ever.

flugel Posted April 26, 2007 Report Posted April 26, 2007 I wish that Angus would keep us posted himself.
