lfovco
I wonder if we could see some shots of the prototype being made like we did with Hublot Big Bang. The Aquatimer is "the one" for me and I can't wait for it. Edited December 29, 2006 by lfovco
Guest RiverwindMDS
when it will be avabile I'm going for a swiss version. I hope to see the same collaboration as with the hbb

Pugwash
Wasn't more reasonable (i mean easier) trying to make a perfect replica of the normal version with ss bracelet?! Maybe the guy doing the copying preferred the Cousteau so that's the one he bought. ps. I want the basic model too.
lovepanerai
Any updates on this watch?? when you consider the pace the maker is doing those - HBB - EVO - Chopard, PAM252, etc. it will be a while before we see this one - I guess around the May timeframe
uziuzi
I dont think it is likely that we will see the "normal" version as this maker is really working hard to get his reps 1:1 by buying the gen and he wont even bother trying to guess the dimensions of the smaller "normal" version...just my opinion We have seen this with the HBB. He is likely to only do the models which are reasonably close to the gen he has in his hands.

new & improved osteopath
Would definitely pick one up w Swiss 7750- which shoulde be a no-brainer given the response to this thread. ALSO I here there is a guy in Zang-xiou working on a 1:1 copy of Jessica Alba's ass (this one will come with a swiss movement) -O

red
YES!!! I'm on this... so fast, my wife is gonna kill me @PT... Your watches are coming out at an amazing pace, and they are great choices!!! Keep this up and I'll be living under a bridge selling banana skins Can the manufacturers do genuine Tritec Super Luminova? I know the material is expensive, but I would think the extra cost would be relatively minimal and surely much more precise than sending them out to get redone. I second this. Willing to pay more, saves me the lume job from Vac or Davidsen.
Lyndonville
May we have an update on when this watch will be out and whether or not it will be offered with the Swiss movement?
lovepanerai
don't get your hopes up that this will be released any time soon - as far as I know the Chopard Mille Miglia and the PAM 252 are to be released first and with Chinese New Year approaching quickly my guess would be April/May timeframe
Lyndonville
That works. Not a problem in waiting. I just hope the watch comes out with the Swiss movement. That is my only concern. Lyndonville
Interesting observation. I know enough about watch movements to make myself appear foolish 99% of the time. I suppose I go back to the phrase, "I want to know what time it is, not how the watch (or clock) works." Most comments I have read have not been stellar when it comes to the A7750 unless it is utilized in less than a chronograph. At 63 I'm still learning... it never stops until I stop.. :-) with that layout the ASIA 7750 28.800BPH is just fine - if you get a Swiss7750 there is no guaranties either in terms of movement quality and proper oiling etc. - I sometimes even wonder if it is not better to get a new ASIAN 7750 rather than a second hand, lower quality, bastardized Swiss Edited January 25, 2007 by 28277

At 63 I'm still learning... it never stops until I stop.. :-) You should read some of the movement reviews by The Zigmeisterzumba - pretty enlightening as far as how good an reliable the A7750s can be. With replicas it is and remains a question of pure luck if you get a good one or bad one, no matter if Swiss or Asian...I had it either way remember als that lots of folks here complain about slipping hands etc., which again I also had with Swiss 7750s, so it is not a perticular problem that the Asia version faces but more of a general problem with replicas
uziuzi
THIS IS WHAT THE LUME ON THE COUSTEAU SHOULD LOOK LIKE. Please don't save on the superluminova !!!! (lumeshot from sailboat641)

takashi
According to Angus, this watch would be delayed a couple of months after Chinese New Year in February. The prototype will be released in March-April this year. I do hope that this is not going to be a vapourware like in computing term.
uziuzi
I totally trust Angus and his ambition for perfection...but honestly, I think this is even harder to rep than the Big Bang becuase of the inner rotating bezel...I could be wrong though...we will see
takashi
I would be glad to jump on to the bandwagon when the rep of this watch with proper movement (7750 Asian or Swiss) and cosmetically accurate enough is available.
red
Does anybody want to do a group buy for the superluminova? I really don't want this watch any other way.
