Initial pics look pretty promising but Im not a SevenFriday expert. I know a few people were asking about this a while ago.

maevit4996 Posted July 31, 2014 Author Report Posted July 31, 2014 I take that back, already spotted a flaw with SEVENFRIDAY on the dial. SEVEN on the gen has a thinner typeface where the rep is the same thickness through out.

Legend Posted July 31, 2014 Report Posted July 31, 2014 The rep is done fairly well, and the print inaccuracy is a classic error of a lot of rep watches. But movement wise, yes the gen and rep uses exactly the same movement. Perhaps what you need is a dial replacement and you have a good "franken" The rep cost about 25% of the gen if I am not mistaken? that is a relatively high percentage but heck, this one has the same movement as the gen. May make it worth the while.

I am waiting to see if other color configurations are being released. I personally love this one

I have studied the rep and compared it against pictures of the gen, and I would have to say that this is very close. On Intime's site, you can see that the "SEVEN" and "FRIDAY" fonts are pretty accurate vs the gen.

Rolexman Posted July 31, 2014 Report Posted July 31, 2014 These are normaly production overruns. The genuines are produced in China too. Sometime they produce some extra cases and parts and insert some hybrid parts afterward. We have seen this before on the D&G touch and Oakley watches.
