Vintage sub replica

With orange markers ? Lol you know those rep with imitated patina on the dial doesn't look well, the best way is to have the dial relume by one of our modder here or in another forum to make the tritium look more convincing .. Anyway all the TD's (most of them) offers vintage sub with patina on the dial, go check the TD list and see what they offer in their website.

I suggest you to check Josh website ( perfect clones ) he has a lot of vintage Rollie with fake aging on them (tropical dials or just patina on the markers )

Cheers

Ok that helps.  Checked a couple of the dealers.  Did not see any with this style "patina" probably the closest was a dial from Yuki.  Josh "perfect clones" has several 5512/5513.  Keep searching or you could buy one and have a modder redo the lume the way you want it or replace with another dial.

Wow, great! Thank you so much!

Who would be able to make lumes?

No problem.  For the lume you are going to have to search around a bit.  I have used Cwazy1 over on RWI and he is great.  To be honest not sure he does the orange thing though.  There are guys on all the forums that do lume work, but you have to reach out to them and see if they can/will do it. Lume job is generally around $100.

Other option is to contact the trusted dealers, tell them what you want and see if they can get it stock for you.  Many times they have access to pieces that are not on their websites.  I think I have seen a piece like in your picture before, just do not remember where.  I would send emails to a few of the dealers and see what they say.

Just another 2cents...Most of the rep dials that emulate age/patina are a bit too orange to be believable. I submit that there are a number of ways to gently age a rep dial to a believable level. The bright orange of your subject is a rare age result ,Although it is in the hands of a reputable source it looks contrived to me. let the search function guide you to "dial aging" or a modder whose work best replicates your preference.....Best, mcotter

I am also looking for the vintage type rolex rep.

I feel that the type of bracelet showed below is closer to the gen without line on the flip lock.

I want to know a experts' opinion here.

http://www.kingwatch.asia/goods.php?id=4722

The King watch is similar or the same as the Puretime 1680- bracelet is ok, end pieces are incorrect- 285s came on the earlier 9315, but not a deal breaker IMO, still a passable bracelet- 93150s are hard to find

These 1680s have a funny bezel assembly- might be best to leave it alone if you get the watch- trying to swap out crystals could be a problem.

The 2846-2 movement is a nice one- hopefully you get one that's in decent shape- they are old- ETA quit making them in the late 90s, I believe

Agree about the 2846, even the ones that are NOS, even if you can find one still, will definitely need a service. the oil inside is old, dried out and needs to be stripped cleaned reoiled and regulated.

If I were going to build a decent 1680, I would start with an old MBW "Polex Design" case and go from there.

The cartel versions arnt bad. They just need a little work (cg shaping, relume, 702 crown).

Of course the MBW is a million times better but impossible to find these days. If you can find one, expect to pay a lot.

Cartel 1680s do have the wrong size dial though. They use the 26mm dials so if you ever wanna swap it for a gen/yuki/whoopy dial, it's gonna need some modding.

Puretime used to make really good ones. Gen construction bezel, the right size dial. The tube would take a 702 crown. The dial looked better too. Not exactly sure why they changed it.

Thank you for useful advices from experts.

You know, Yuki's project page was reviced.

That article is described about 5513 project.

I am really interested in that one.

Do you know the total price of 5513 project by using all Yuki's parts incluede ETA movement?

I am considering which one is better by starting all Yuki's parts or Trusty's one.

In addition, there are some questions showed below.

Are there differences between the dial hands, hands, and case for 2813 and ones for 2836?

Are the dimensions of Swiss ETA same as Asian ETA?

And are Same parts available for Swiss ETA and Asian ETA?
