"This is a hybrid. This is a cross, ah, of Bluegrass, Kentucky Bluegrass, Featherbed Bent, and Northern California Sensemilia. The amazing stuff about this is, that you can play 36 holes on it in the afternoon, take it home and just get stoned to the bejeezus-belt that night on this stuff."

"We are like dwarfs sitting on the shoulders of giants.

We see more, and things that are more distant, than did they,

not because our sight is superior nor because we are taller than they,

but because they raise us up,

and by their great stature add to ours."

John of Salisbury  ca. 1159

"For as this appalling ocean surrounds the verdant land, so in the soul of man there lies one insular Tahiti, full of peace and joy, but encompassed by all the horrors of the half-known life. God keep thee! Push not off from that isle, thou canst never return!”

I’ve missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I’ve lost almost 300 games. 26 times I’ve been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.

^^^OMG I can't believe I didn't think to write that one, it's my all time favorite. I thought it was said by Dean Martin:

"I spent 80% of my money on booze, hookers and dope, the other 20% I wasted"

The original partymeister Dean Martin would've said it first!
