Daily Beater : This can be anything, titanium Omega Seamaster Chrono, Omega Planet Ocean, PAM036 probably the ones I would use most.

Dress Watch : Solid 18k gold Franck Muller Casablanca or Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Jumbo or Vacheron Constantin Overseas (I have worn this to weddings).

Smart Casual : Zenith El Primero Rainbow or IWC GST Chrono, or Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore in titanium. Perhaps even the Breitling Chronomat Evolution.

Sporty: Doxa Sub 600T/750T (orange dial) or Sinn U1 , or Omega Seamaster/Planet Ocean range on rubber strap, or Breitling Avenger Seawolf/Chrono Avenger on rubber strap.

Travel Watch: Omega Seamaster GMT (white dial or black dial)

Vintage: Vintage Omega Seamaster, Doxa 300T or RlX Seadweller/Subs.

Watch to go clubbing: White ceramic men's size Chanel J12 or two tone serti dial RlX Sub. Perhaps even a PAM187.

Watch to go casino with: Franck Muller Vegas or Corum Casino.... or any big Panerai to divert attention.

Every man should wear black high ending socks from different qualities depending on the season....but, not one piece of skin of their legs should be seen by anyone...

Italian elegance.

Ciao

Many seem to have mixed gens with reps so I am not so sure if the thread started as a rep only question??

I actually do not wear different watches for different occasions: I actually believe people only need one reliable watch to tell time with. Anything else is luxury and spoiling the brat syndrome.

When you know the world is plagued with more socio-economic problems than any upsurge in economic growth, I cannot live with the awckward feeling that one guy blocks away cant even feed his 3 kids decently while I admire my collection of 20 watches... we live in a world of affluence , abundance and over indulgence....

So, as an indulging two bit capitalist pig, I own three watches and it is way way too many.

So my watches are rotated and worn anytime, no reason specific, just worn because I feel like it:

1-Gen Tag Heuer Link

2-Breitling Sttelfish (rep)

3-PAM 005 (rep)

I would another watch but only if I sell a watch or two....

Surely your buying of watches will spark the economy so that several Chinese families eat well directly because of your action, so think of it as charity, helping a poor economy stand on its own two feet. :whistling:

I'm not sure I believe spending money helps the economy (I suspect I do), but every time I want a new toy, I convince myself it helps everyone around me. :D

1. Daily beater: PO45

2. Dress watch: 183? Steelfish? I don't know

3. Smart casual: IWC GST

4. Sporty watch: MBW 1680/1665

Yeah, I just picked a pile of watches and shoe-horned them into categories. :D

I would recategorize. After all the whole point of reps is so that there is no daily beater  :

Work

Weekend

Evening

Sport

There is no way I could narrow it down to one for each category nor do we have to. :thumbsupsmileyanim:

Work: Omega SMP Chrono. I need a chrono at work.

Weekend: Yard duty and car stuff.....nothing! Maybe SS Sub for casual non destructive weekend stuff.

Evening: Rose Gold FA Jones

Sport: Again, too nasty an arena for a prized rep posession. If I have to, Seiko Diver or Casio G shock.

I don't like getting too caught up in the 'purpose' of the watch....other than having a dress watch as a separate category.

If a noob is reading this and wants four bad-ass reps without having to do the research-

1) Hublot Big Bang

2) IWC Cousteau

3) Rolex "Great White" MBW 'modded'

4) Breitling SFSO or uPO

Good thing I didn't respond to this thread when it first came out because I added some strong role players since then:

Daily beater: Omega Speedmaster or Omega PO

Dress watch: Breitling Evo or IWC GST

Smart casual: Pam 192 or VC Overseas

Sporty watch: Chopard Gran Turismo XL or Seamaster Pro GMT

Lol: I just realized that my perfect list of 4 contains eight watches.
