A PRS 516 @ 250$ with Swiss Original Eta 2836-2

Hi All,

It's been a while that I wanted to post a topic about this watch.
I simply love it and wear it very much.
I have been chasing it on eBay for months as I decided I would not pay more than 250$ and it always went for over 300.
But patience pays and I got it !

Pictures of mine are at the bottom ...I hope you'll like it as much as I do.

Cheers
Stephane

What do I like?

- The great Eta 2836-2, visible behind the nice sapphire case back, that runs 10 seconds to fast in 24 hours only which is the worst adjusted watch I have with that movement !
- The fantastic day-date feature which can be read easily
- The indexes that are suspended over the dial
- The beautiful 70's look SS band
- The heavy wait of the thing on the wrist
- The deployment buckle

A PRS 516 @ 250$ with Swiss Original Eta 2836-2

Hi Stephane,

Very interesting post. I think Tissot are very underrated. I have had this one as my daily wearer for years:

Co-incidently, I also drive an Alfa. Which model do you have? I drive a 2003 GTV 3.0 24V

Regards

Alan

@ Ken and Chief: thanks for reading and commenting. Funny that Paul Tissot was the only non Brandt familly member that was tolerated at Omega...kind of Swatch group spirit long before N.Hayek came.

@ Monty: an Alfa 166 JTD 2002, Nero Vulcano...my 6th Alfa and never again another brand...Congrats for your V6. I hope my next one will be one too. I'll have to wait for the 169 though.

Cheers

Stephane

Great post! I have a PR-516 black dial like this on a black kevlar strap.

This is indeed a nice watch!! You inspired me to wear mine tomorrow.

I see the leather strap versions on ebay for around $200 and at discount retailers online for under $250. I think this might be a discontinued model, available at attractive prices...well worth it.

I really like that white dial version with the "rally style" metal bracelet! Excellent choice!

Nice watch + pics. :thumbsupsmileyanim:

I have Tissot type PRS 200. It's a chrono, keeps good time. I have the blue face it changes from deep blue to a lighter blue in different light.

I really like Tissot watches.
