Tribal Posted June 29, 2007 Report Posted June 29, 2007 seems Angus is envolved in a nice modern SD project look here.. Modern SD
Tribal Posted June 30, 2007 Author Report Posted June 30, 2007 Yepp, i know, but have you seenn this pics? I think Angus will do it right.....
FxrAndy Posted June 30, 2007 Report Posted June 30, 2007 It looks good, i just hope the lume is decent. We see these watches come but there is always a small flaw somwhere, look at the UPO, just about perfect but sort out the logo. The SFSO great watch but missing the lume markers on the inner bezel ring (forgot its real name, datum?) Please Angus this looks great but don't forget the details we find important, the rest of the world would never know but this watch is focused at the collectors here who see the smallest detail, not at a drunk tourist in Pataya.
watcher Posted June 30, 2007 Report Posted June 30, 2007 I had not seen these updated built pictures!! It looks very good with what looks like a perfect rehaut for an SD and good dial etc but the crown is way too low in the guards for an SD See this pic of my gen SD below
rag9fx Posted June 30, 2007 Report Posted June 30, 2007 Sorry but is this out yet? I am going to be all over this when it is.
Stephane Posted June 30, 2007 Report Posted June 30, 2007 Let's wait untill someone has it in hands It would be great to have a better rep of it but we've been disapointed so many times Now, for sure, if it's as good as it sounds, then I'll go for one Cheers Stephane
Tribal Posted June 30, 2007 Author Report Posted June 30, 2007 Good News, i talked to Angus,he has a gen SD for replication and compare the whole watch... He told me it comes in about two month
Stephane Posted June 30, 2007 Report Posted June 30, 2007 Yiiiipeee Great news indeed, Tribal. Thanks for following up
watcher Posted June 30, 2007 Report Posted June 30, 2007 Were these built up pics from Angus then. I hope he gets the bezel diameter right. It's a big tell tale on these usually even more so than the crown position
b16a2 Posted June 30, 2007 Report Posted June 30, 2007 Looks good! Unfortunately there isn't muh that can be done about the crown positioning, it is there due to the movement. Unless we get an exact copy of the Rolex movement, it's going to stay like that for the foreseeable future on these models.
Tribal Posted June 30, 2007 Author Report Posted June 30, 2007 Were these built up pics from Angus then. I hope he gets the bezel diameter right. It's a big tell tale on these usually even more so than the crown position Yepp, i told him about it. The bezel insert assembly is the same as genuine, everything will be made according to genuine ... he told me..
rag9fx Posted June 30, 2007 Report Posted June 30, 2007 (edited) So is this being built to similar specs as the 'super' reps that have been comming out recently? (ie: a gen has been bought an is being copied) the more i look at this the more i want one!!! Edited June 30, 2007 by rag9fx
yodaddynukka Posted June 30, 2007 Report Posted June 30, 2007 does this mean that this watch will accept gen parts?
manuel Posted July 1, 2007 Report Posted July 1, 2007 With very thick crystal yeah and exact bezel assemby yeah!! Which movement should this watch carry? Eta 2892?
ShawnBeever Posted July 11, 2007 Report Posted July 11, 2007 With very thick crystal yeah and exact bezel assemby yeah!! Which movement should this watch carry? Eta 2892? Any more news on this?
lazarini Posted July 12, 2007 Report Posted July 12, 2007 Good god ... looks sweet indeed ... sheeshh serious potencial here and its not gonna be out for some time so still they can fix a lot of things before they release that ... laz
gioarmani Posted July 12, 2007 Report Posted July 12, 2007 Let's hope they don't phuck it up with something easily avoidable--like an over-sized crown--or anything else so glaringly obvious it destroys the entire look.
cskent69 Posted July 12, 2007 Report Posted July 12, 2007 I am a little concerned about the rehaut - looks a little too conical. Not sure why that happens. Also - i do wish they could use a different movement so that the crown was higher - like the 2892. That is expensive - so i know it is very unlikely.
2005SUBMARINER Posted July 12, 2007 Report Posted July 12, 2007 looks great , but the question is how much $$$$$$$ for the perfect SD rep . ?
By-Tor Posted July 12, 2007 Report Posted July 12, 2007 That crown looks nothing like the genuine. Utterly ridiculous... did they take it from a Invicta? And I agree, the crystal/rehaut looks conical and comical. 1:1 my [censored]...
elprimerozen Posted July 20, 2007 Report Posted July 20, 2007 I have just confirmed(by mail) that it will be on the market realy soon.....
