Might be gone most of Monday, and this is my favourite RWG thread series. Don't want to miss out!

MONDAY:

Since it's raining kittens in SoFla, the never-worn before silicone Panerai strap from Andrew on the PAM 111h.

TUESDAY:

At the spa last week, waiting for my manicure, reading W's feature on Posh & Becks. PAM 118/PAV 91. Fetch!

...thinking of getting a Greg Stevens Crazy Horse with black stitch for my new Lion Purdey PAM. Thoughts? Too butch for me?

He's advertising them on Paneristi, before apparently raising prices this September...........thanks to Laz for the heads up.

I am going to ask a question I've been dying to, but don't kill me, By-Tor! Do you prefer your Omegas or Rolexes better?

its been ss'ed 113g this morning, but i realized soon that 111h hasnt seen my wrist since few weeks so I thought I would give her a chance :p and since its too hot here for any leather straps, i put her on rubber strap, matches nice :)

Nice combo with the 91...the Greg Stevens Crazy Horse is not bad, his straps has a nice tail :thumbsupsmileyanim:

Got my gen 112 on a XaMas strap today.

Don't have great pics....just a crappy pic for now, but I'm gonna be wearing the Omega uPO for this week, until the SMP crono arrives by the weekend:

Hopefully for next week's poll, I'll be wearing this instead:

La Dolce Vita, indeed, rolli. My parents worked hard for me, and soon, it will be my turn for them. :thumbsupsmileyanim:

But on a more serious note, I am reminded that not everything is Dom Perignon, canap

Stole my wifes EXII today as i started teaching a new course and one of the first lesons refers to GMT time and time zones, i thought i should be wearing a fitting watch!

New pic taken looking out over the garden from my office at home.

Hi Victoria. I have a weird love/hate relationship with Rolex. My old man has huge gen Rolex collection... and of course boys always grow up admiring their fathers (in good and bad). I like all the classic Rolex sports models (Sub, ExpII, GMT, SD), but despise their whole gold/dressy lineup... and what Rolex has become (as a brand).

It's difficult to say which I like more, but I definitely like Omegas just as much. Something like the SMP Chrono is pretty much "perfect" watch. At least for me.

Looks like these Rolexes have gotten more wrist time lately. That's mainly because I've been buying and selling them all the time. I have a perfect Omega collection, now I want best reps of all the Rolex models I've always wanted and be done with it. :)

No directed at me, I know, but personally, I prefer Omegas better. I used to really like Rolexes, but I think that was because that was the only 'high end brand' I'd really heard of. As I got more into watches, I read a comparison between an Omega Seamaster and a Rolex Submariner (which the Omega came top in) so I decided to take a look at them. I liked what I saw. Larger dials and hands, so clearer viewing, and better engineered bracelets :)

They also grow up resenting their father's tastes, from musical to political to watches. *g*

But yes, I know what you mean. It also reminds me a little of what they said about our generation:

My Boomer parents grew up appreciating everything French, from wine, to clothes, to general culture. But the pendulum has swung towards Italy for my (late) fellow Gen X'ers. Instead of Chanel and Dior, it's Armani and Versace, and so on down the taste line.

For Boomers, the Rolex was the top dog but I personally appreciate the Omega more. That's certainly the case within my set of friends, as highlighted by this fellow (not to imply he's a friend! Hehe).

TeeJay concurred, and he's a little younger than I am.

Be done with it! Perish the thought, By-Tor. You'll just start a whole 'nuther obsession by then. I see Panerai holds no interest for you though...

@V: You have extraordinary taste in straps, V. You NEVER EVER put a foot wrong. Like Corpsman, I want to know where you got that Metta strap...

@ fellow SoFloridian, ssabripo: BEAUTIFUL PO! You just made me love the purchase I made, sight practically unseen. Ditto Corpsman.

@guy with the guitar: you rock!
