Rolex AD saleswomen

Nanuq

Recommended Posts

I was in the AD tonight looking over an Explorer I for the delectable Ms. Nanuq and was wearing my DRSD.

The saleslady glanced at my wrist and saw Oyster as I handled the Explorer. She asked about my watch

and I said "It's an old 1665." She looked hard at it for a second and in her eyes I could see she was thinking

"ewwww it's all old and scratched up!" Then she asked the question:

"You paid sixteen hundred and sixty-five dollars for that?!"

:bangin:

All I could do was smile. I said "well it IS pretty old...."

:tu:

She said that to you? How tacky. Next time tell Miss Scrunchy face that you got your moneys worth and that her sales technique could use more polish then your watch.

I know that the next time I was in that store, I would seek her out and say-

"Gee, I'm really worried I may have paid too much for this, after what you told me last visit.

Is it possible for the watchmaker/manager to give me an estimate of it's value?"

When an appraisal was completed, the look on her face, would be just like the DRSD.... PRICELESS!
