r11co
Well folks, principle filming of Bond 22 started this week in London (approx 1 month behind schedule because of the writers' strike). First pics of DC on set show that the Planet Ocean is back, but the rubber 'action' strap has been replaced for the more elegant SS bracelet. Preliminary filming in August 2007 took place on location in Siena, Italy, and Daniel turned up there wearing the same watch, although he was not actually due to appear in front of camera then as the purpose of filming was to capture the 'Palio' horse race event. PS. I am also pleased to see that the continued rumours of a 'sky blue' bezelled chrono version of the PO making its debut in the movie have so far proved untrue. Jetsons
Hard to be sure but it looks to me Craig is sporting the smaller 42mm PO on this photo. The 45mm on the bracelet is an absolute beast. Thanks for the info and photo.

The 45mm on the bracelet is an absolute beast. Maybe, but remember also that Daniel Craig has made body building part of his standard preparation for playing Bond! When the first pictures off the set of Casino Royale appeared, some commentators mistakenly reckoned what we all now know is the 45mm Planet Ocean on rubber strap was in fact a DeVille, simply because DC made it look 'small'. I doubt it's the 42mm as we know that he sported the 45.5mm one, albeit with a rubber strap, and it looked fine. Glad to see my initial suspicions about the PO w/bracelet being the next official Bond watch has been bourne out. hyster
In Daniel Craig we have the first believable bond since Connery. Whoever plays James Bond has to look as if he could actually kick someones [censored]. The ones in between just did'nt. Really enjoyed Casino Royale, hope the next is as good. Lazenby was probably the hardest of all the Bond's. He was a student of Bruce Lee. Personally I wouldn't want to get into a dust up with Dalton but I agree, Craig does look like a hard nut but you see blokes like him all the time on building sites and in pubs. FxrAndy
What i find strange is that Moore made the most films but was in my oppinion the worst Bond.
keiron99
Daniel Craig went to my school, he was in the year below me. I'd like to think he gets the inspiration for his interpretation of the Bond role from me.

Guest jagleaso
Looks like the 42mm to me also, Daniel craig is not a large man... 5 foot 10 is generous and he is very thin.
DemonSlayer
That's got to be the 42mm, look at how much space the watch takes up on his wrist...
Coeuss
With Bond 22 several months away do you all think we will see a better rep of the PO from our friends in Guangzhou? My first rep looks like the one from Silix but I purchased it off of ioffer. I like it but the Bezel drives me nuts as it is nowhere near the GEN or UPO Bezels. I would buy another if they did, would certainly be cheaper than ordering the Bezel from Ofrei. I know someone on the bay sells aftermarket Bezel inserts but I don't think they come close either. While I'm on the PO topic quick question. I purchased a SS PO Bracelet from the bay (really nice and heavy with all the correct markings http://cgi.ebay.com/OMEGA-Planet-Ocean-SS-...QQcmdZViewItem) but I can't get it to fit correctly on my rep. It seems the holes don't exactly match up. It took me about an hour once to get it to fit and once it did I walked about 2 feet, opened the door and the spring bar flew across the room never to be seen again. Anyone ever had this problem? Any solutions?

Yeap.. although I' ve seen Shoot Em Up and cannot stop visualising Clive Owen in the Bond Role... I think it should have been the Ultimate choice.. Coeuss
According to most of the watch forums I lurk, Craig wears the 42mm PO for Bond 22 and in real life. http://i133.photobucket.com/albums/q48/sca...d_22_craig6.jpg Edited January 18, 2008 by Coeuss
Guest TTK
Whilst I thought DC did a great job on CR......he's still got a face like a well skelped a r s e......I think there are a few others that would have been more suited to the role......Dougray Scott....gerard Butler ....( both Scottish )....Cllive Owen.....all dark haired..and infinitely more suave than DC.. as I envisage Bond.....JMHO....the photo shown above looks as tho' he's been partying hard.... cornerstone
Dougray Scott....gerard Butler Definitely two names I would have picked for it. Still, Daniel Craig is decent. One thing I find odd about the films is that they never use the useful gadget from the previous film. I mean, an invisible car. That would be handy to keep right? You end up watching going "use your laser beam!", "just jump in Little Nellie", "take your jet pack!", "c'mon, get out the robot dog!"...

Getting a UPO bracelet to fit a silix po is a real pain i had to elongate the holes in the bracelet and also bend the spring bars, it took me a couple of hours but is solid now and has been since i made it.
