pizzanooo Posted June 7, 2008 Report Posted June 7, 2008 Most impressive watch is the Ingie. Beautiful & accurate from the wizards at the factory. (with a few mods) 1 watch I know, but this gets alot of compliments when out.
Guest carlsbadrolex Posted June 7, 2008 Report Posted June 7, 2008 I guess it would have to be the one in front. Every time I wear it I think "I do not deserve to have this on my wrist." YOUR RIGHT, you dont... So send it to me.
freddy333 Posted June 7, 2008 Report Posted June 7, 2008 Probably the Vacheron Constantin 'Jumping Hours' (at right) But I would be seriously remiss if I did not include the Newman that came about completely by accident simply because I had some parts left over from the previous 1
Pugwash Posted June 7, 2008 Report Posted June 7, 2008 I agree with By-Tor. The Steelfish is that good and of all my reps, it does feel the most impressive, apart from one other: The Panerai 187.
Watchmeister Posted June 7, 2008 Report Posted June 7, 2008 The one that gets the most comments (which I still own) is the Graham. The ones that give me a thrill on the wrist would be the franken 03 and 23 PAM's and my IWC with Ziggy relume and RepAustria's real wood insert.
ravishingrick Posted June 7, 2008 Report Posted June 7, 2008 It is an equal tie to 3 watches from my collection. All very different pieces and love equally for other reasons. - IWC Costeau Divers, with Swiss 7750. - Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Jumbo Swiss 2824-2 (Mbw/Mbk) - PAM27 Swiss 2892-A2 Soprod Power Reserve module on Crazy Horse.
freddy333 Posted June 7, 2008 Report Posted June 7, 2008 Woah, how does that VC work Freddy? The number in the window is the hours & the black arrow is the minutes (no running seconds). The watch is manually wound.
ubiquitous Posted June 8, 2008 Report Posted June 8, 2008 Choosing a favorite is a difficult choice; having built the watches in my collection, each has it's own special meaning to me. So... Here are a few (that are probably of no surprise) of which I enjoy the most... Franken 16520's: Franken 9411: And one of the few unmodded favorites- My MBK Nautilus:
kasi Posted June 8, 2008 Report Posted June 8, 2008 I bought those in the Old RWG and those are some of my favorites.
kasi Posted June 8, 2008 Report Posted June 8, 2008 (edited) Also those Vintage MBW are still my Favorite ,in the old days direct from Maria und Josef Edited June 8, 2008 by kasi
maulermacall@hotmail.com Posted June 8, 2008 Report Posted June 8, 2008 Rolex 16610 (gen) Leopard Daytona (most definately rep / now sold, I miss it)
Stephane Posted June 8, 2008 Report Posted June 8, 2008 Franken 9411: That is one of my grails Ubi. Great watch, isn't it? Wear it in good health!
ubiquitous Posted June 8, 2008 Report Posted June 8, 2008 I'll post details on that one soon, stephane. Technically, it's not finished as of current (but damn close).... However, that is probably the only Sub I'll ever really want from here forward
tmg Posted June 9, 2008 Report Posted June 9, 2008 Tudor Monte Carlo is mine I think after that, it's my 201A Okay a bit of a brain fart, I meant to say my 187 -not 201A (201A on the mind that day I guess). There is something about the size and sheer heft of the 187, it's like wearing an armoured car on your wrist.
dadog13 Posted June 9, 2008 Report Posted June 9, 2008 after a couple of days I decided...my most impressive watch is the DeWitte Academia...simply awesome rep...the chinese have done really well this one...love the way they managed to do the case...the combo of titanium and rubber is done pretty well...
watcher Posted June 9, 2008 Report Posted June 9, 2008 This is still the most impressive watch I have owned! Panerai PAM 168 Regatta no. 153/399 from 2003. The blend of Steel and Titanium is beautiful and really suited the smaller case size. I regret selling this more than any other watch I've owned!
TomRiddle Posted June 10, 2008 Report Posted June 10, 2008 to this day.. my best purchase its actually spoiled me because id get other reps but i keep goin back to this badboy HUBLOT BIG BANGED ROSE GOLD POLISHED CERAMIC
dluddy Posted June 10, 2008 Report Posted June 10, 2008 The one that continues to live uip to expectations for me is my 3+ Year old SMP from Paul. It has turned into a Franken with Genuine dial, hands, HE valve and Crown & tube and also sports Chief's Single Side AR. Every time I wear it I fall in love with it all over...
By-Tor Posted June 10, 2008 Author Report Posted June 10, 2008 @dluddy: Bond SMP is of course one of my all-time favorites too. I wish I just could find a gen insert for mine. Actually I consider the chrono version even more impressive. Anyway... both are permanent keepers for me.
ubiquitous Posted June 10, 2008 Report Posted June 10, 2008 Okay a bit of a brain fart, I meant to say my 187 -not 201A (201A on the mind that day I guess). There is something about the size and sheer heft of the 187, it's like wearing an armoured car on your wrist. TMG... I think I like the 201A bestest But the 201A has always been a fave of mine; especially back when they were still almost affordable (no chance of picking up a gen these days)...
windyzz Posted June 10, 2008 Report Posted June 10, 2008 (edited) I think PD is my fav rep, its super rep (Almost no different with the gen) , then navitimer probably my second fav rep Edited June 10, 2008 by windyzz
hambone Posted June 10, 2008 Report Posted June 10, 2008 Another vote for the HBB. This is quite the watch. [url=http://g.imageshack.us/g.php?h=441&i=dsc05345edited1sf0bp0sz2.jpg]
Master Chief Posted June 10, 2008 Report Posted June 10, 2008 Angus 111e & Vaccumed! I think it is a legend of PAM
