Tribal
After a litlle wait the Euromariners from Chris (Eurotimez) arrived .... He send me three samples of his Euromariners... So what is a Euromariner ? It's a Submariner based on the MBW/MBK Case with Noobmariner Dial, Noob Bracelet and powered By an Asian DG 2813 movement... Most of the Members bought Two Subs to build one good one.... Based on a MBW Case they installed a Noob Dial which is the best (we all know),installed also the Noob Bracelet which is nicer than the older massiv MBW one.... So we invest a lot of money to become a nice Sub.... Chris offers now his Euromariner with the best of Two Worlds MBW/MBK Case and Noob Parts... He send me one that is based on the older MBW Case (We all know this Case) As we can see it's nice, Datemag is good on this one,the Noob Dial looks also good and the bracelet fits the case fine... On the older Batch of the MBW/MBK Sub magnifiaction was way too big. Bezel Insert is shitty like on all Rep Subs and must replaced.. CG's need a little bit of work, but we all know this Now here is the movement He told me it's an Asian DG 2813 and that it is a really good but cheap movement.... So why not build the Euromariner with this movement to increase the price of the whole watch? Good Idea I think. He send me also two Samples with a different Case. This ones are based on the new MBW/MBK Cases which is totally different to the older MBW/MBK's So what's the differents? New Case has Bezel assembly like the WM9, also fat Tube with right dimensions, different Crown, also the Crystal assembly is like the WM9 or Gen... The Case replicated the newest Submariner Model with engraved Rehaut... Let us see some detailed Pics The Watch Now take a look of the Bezel assembly You see it's like the real Deal... Retaining Ring, Sealing, Bezelwasher I compared it to WM9 and it's all the same.... Also the shape and construction of this Case is the same as WM9 So I think both Cases came from same Factory Only difference is the engraved Rehaut... A Gen Insert will snap in also a Gen Crystal will fit..! Engravings on the Rehaut are a little bit too tall in my opinion... Lets take a closer look to the Tube and Crown Fat Tube like the real deal This is the Caseback As you can see the engravings are different to WM9 but its the same Caseback The Engravings between the Lugs are not clear maybe why this are samples Datemag is also good on this one,but we need better Date Wheel Overlays, because the Numbers must be slightly smaller.... This is on all Rep Subs the problem I think The Noob Bracelet fits this Case also fine Here we have the LV which has the same New Case as the Black one... There is not much to say about this.Great Noob Dial fat Minute Hand..... All is the same as on the Black one... Only the Datemag is slightly bigger than on the black Modell Here are the Pics.. So I think It's a nice idea from Chris to offer this Submariner Modell You get the Best of Two Worlds in one watch... I remember he told this one you can get for 250USD Great Price for a damm nice watch...... I asked him also if the new Case is available with no engravings on the Rehaut.. He claimed he will get them also soon... At least I must thank Chris for the samples of his Euromariners.... Hope this review was interesting and will help to decide for some members to get a new Sub
takashi
Thank you very much for a valuable insight on this new Submariner from Eurotimez. It does indeed look very good and definitely a worthy consideration. Despite Rolex engraving on the rehaut, I think this is still a very fine watch. Most importantly is it can take genuine parts
Seadweller4000
Awesome writeup and very promising pictures D! I think this is really the best out-of-the-box sub ever. I might even buy one although I am not that into subs. Really looking forward to see it in person when we have a beer the next time.
yellomen
Thanx for the review Dirk!! This is a great thing of Eurotimez to combine all the best parts all ready and save us all a lot of money and work! I asked him also if the new Case is available with no engravings on the Rehaut.. He claimed he will get them also soon... Maybe a strange question... but do you think he will also make an old pre 2004 with lugholes version based on this case? I would be really interested in an old pre 2004 Submariner... no laser etched crown on the crystal, no ugly rolexrolex engraving in the rehaut and lugholes like it should on a toolwatch
Tribal
Thanks to all I asked him too about one with Lugholes and no engravings on the Rehaut. But we must wait if it can be done.

archibald
Great review! As the owner of a gen LV dial and bezel assembly, the sub scene is looking up!! I was waiting for someone very smart to make lots of money by selling a version w/ nood dial and bracelet, WM9 case AND an asian 2892 to get the right rehaut/crown ratio (I bet even guys w/ heavily modded subs would buy new ones if someone makes that watch)...but I just might just give up and pull the trigger on this instead. By-Tor
Well it looks like Christmas then! I want one of the new cases with no engraving, and I've found my final Sub. If these watches get smaller date numbers, I can only imagine how much this rep will sell ($250 fer Chrissakes!).
EuroTimez
Thanks Dirk, very very nice review... nice pics... Sorry it didn't get to you b4 the GTG I really tried my best. But had some problems with EMS... New cases (2008) without ENGRAVINGS are in the making, it will be the WM9 same model then.... I some newer samples in from BKK which I even perfected the MAG by fraction of fraction mm -- the DATENR will also "appear smaller and sharper". I studied the gen real closely to this one while in BKK perfectionizing this piece... Optional movements can be bought directly from me at only +25 usd (but installation you got to do yourself, maybe will do so in the future, you then will be left with a spare DG2813 after swap) DG 4813 --28.8k movement. I can also offer them with GEN0 ETA based but they will be more expensive = 450-475 usd. --mainly as I combine two to become one perfect one. I wasn't sure the 200 usd difference will be worth it..., maybe for some. I thought however was that if based on DG, if anything goes wrong a replacement movement would be cheap, the watch is above fine quality and affordable for everybody. For lugholes I'm not quite sure, I don't really think there's a big enough market for it.... The Euromariner will be 275 usd incl registered airmail shipping, fully inspected (QC) and incl pp fees. I will post a sells thread soon, but I'm quite busy recovering from my trip and buried in e-mails at the moment which need to be answered firstly. Any one interested in the pieces that Tribal reviewed?!? it's already in EU? only 3 pieces to go.... be fast....
gplracer
What would be the choice of bezel inserts for this watch? The same as aways but with the possibility that a gen could be used? By-Tor or others what do you think of the CGs? I am not real knowledgeable in that area. How hard is it to get gen parts? Sorry for all of the noob questions. Thanks for the review! Stephane
Thanks Tribal for the nice review. Thanks to Chris for sending these samples too of course. The missing link is here thus: a good case with a good dial and bracelet, ready to be worn or ready for further mods. Good news. I don't know if it is of any help, but here are two photos of my WM9 engravings. Cheers Stephane

perry563
Great watch. So the decision for anyone looking for the best sub is as follows..... The above Eurotimz MBW based sub with Noob dial. (the latest MBW come with hollow link bracelets so there is no additional mod in this area) The benefits are that deep rehaut and overall bext next to gen case. Negatives though are you still need to have those CG modded and insert recessed with better pearl. BK mariner - fully modded but has a more shallow rehaut and slightly smaller than gen date mag. Decisions, decisions!!!!!
EuroTimez
@ Shundi, I think I can get them also UN-ENGRAVED , cases and caseback un-engraved so you can have you're own SHITERAND design, or your FOLEX engraved on it --genuine fake designed engraved on it--

Mickey Padge
Great review Tribal! I will be getting one of these for sure, I will just have to wait until the high beat movement can be installed before delivery though..... If I tried to install it, I would just destroy the watch lol I will keep an eye out for when you offer this with the high beat movement
ubiquitous
D- Great review and breakdown! I can only hope that they do an older case with correct bezel assembly, no rehaut engraving and lug holes! I would be on cloud 9 if they did!

By-Tor
I think they will sell thousands of this one... That's an understatement. This watch will put all other modern Submariner reps out of market in this community (if it's done correctly). Factories never wanted to do this for some reason. Kudos to EuroTimez... this is a fantastic idea! Personally, I don't care whether it comes with the lugholes or not. I just dislike the rehaut engraving (on both gen and rep). I already mentioned that the case and rehaut (which is part of the case) is better with the MBW in general. The bottom line is that yours is potentially closer to gen but needs mods. The BK mariner is already modded. So if we take your watch and modd it YES its the better watch. The BK mariner also has the better movement.
