ken fingerlove
I love a movie topic. My fave 3 (trimming it to three is nearly impossibly, but off the top of my head) Jaws Kingpin The Black Hole The Black Hole is amazing. It's terrible for 40 minutes until Maximillian Schell appears, and then it becomes utterly fantastic. It also has the most insane "die - merge with a robot and descend into Hell" scene I've ever seen. I can't believe I picked a top three without Empire Strikes Back, but those new movies have really pulled that down the ranking for me.

Bizzon
There is no way for me to narrow it down to only 3 movies. So here are some genres: Commedy: Anchor Man, Big Lewbowski, and Harold Kumar Escape from Guantanamo. Drama: Forest Gump, Blood Diamond, Shawshank Redemption Action: Matrix, Transformers, 300 Honorable mentions: Snatch, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, Dogma, Star Wars (all of them), The Kingdom, Platoon, Good Will Hunting, Gladiator, Saving Private Ryan, Top Gun, Mission Impossible, Rounders, the Rundown, and True Lies. There is no order to this list. For all these movies, I can watch these movies over and over and still find them entertaining.....Kind of like watches!
