  1. Wearing my new arrival, picked up last night from denimhead. To say im happy is not even close, since 5pm last night I must have spent at least 6 hours staring and the dial and the slow beat second hand sweeping round.

  2. Hi all, I'm a new member here and this is only my second post but after reading some member posts, I decided to take the plunge. I already whipped up a quick DJ but I thought I would really put my skills to the test. Ok so tell me if this looks impossible. I bought this cheap replica sub at a yard sale a few weeks ago. I took it apart and I know this sounds crazy but I would like to FILE the case down in order to remove the "steps" in the case to make it flat like a real case. I hope to be able to either use this case for a sub/gmt or preferably and with a bit more work, a vintage milgauss replica... Any thoughts? Thanks!

  17. Naw, needs the sport hands. Either the classic Mercedes or the 5514 arrows or the fat tudor arrow hands. The DJ stick hands just don't quite make it. I like the idea of an explorer-esq dial. But then that is my favorite Rolex dial overall.

  19. Ben, you made a detailed review of the banana Seawolf and you wrote exactly what I'm thinking... It's the perfect watch for a sporty outfit and casual wear, but it really works also when wearing suits! At least in the summer season... I do find the quality of the rep amazing, it feels solid as a rock and even the lume is very good and bright; of course it doesn't last as long as we all are wanting to, but the initial brightness is impressive, best of all Breitling reps I own. Winding is smooth, way smoother than the A7750 Chrono movements. The only little(!!) drawback is the clasp - some sharp edges, and on the inner side of the small part of the clasp you can see some signs of the outside (laser?) engraving of the Breitling logo. Did some Cape Cod polishing on the inner side to remove this flaw... As always for bracelets I strongly suggest to thread lock (Loctite blue) the screws of the bracelet links, otherwise these screws may/will fall out some day...

  21. I was into buying the gen for a time. Although I didn't go for it in the end, I was, like you, having difficulties choosing if I should go for the PO or the black seamster 300 m or the blue version of it. The saleswoman in Omega told me something that is really true and perhaps you already know; if you are going for an "all-around" watch which you can wear both at casual and dressy events, black is the colour to prefer. It has a more serious note to it. Not that the blue is "unserious" in any way, but I agree with her. If you are choosing between colours I would say go for the black. If you have a lot of black dials, go for the blue. When it comes to the PO... It is a more beautiful watch imo. Though, it's harder to get the reps right due to the in-house movement of Omega that can't be repped correctly. If you are patient enough, the noob factory will release the LMPO (http://forums.watchuseek.com/attachments/f20/674922d1333920495-seamaster-planet-ocean-liquid-metal-limited-edition-img_7572.jpg) soon, which is good if you want the PO and worry about the obvious case back (this one is closed on the gen). They will also release the ceramic ones, though the movement is rumoured to not look so different from the existing ones. If I were you I'd wait for noobs release. If you can't restrain yourself, go for the smp-c. Furthermore, about your question, I'm not quite sure how the bezel was on the gen. I'll be visiting the AD on Tuesday next week (just for fun), and I can check it out. Will also most more pictures then!

  22. I got it from a dealer who is on a "trusted" list on RWI forum, not here. Intime Watches. He had continuous great reviews so I decided to try him out. http://intime.co/product.php?id_product=1137
