The saddest part about this is that with Rolex tightening restrictions on the parts supply, independent watchmakers, many of whom were Rolex-trained & who do not have the luxury of spending hours/days/weeks trolling ebay, are no longer functionally able to repair a Rolex watch. This, increasingly, leaves the average gen owner with no other option than to bend over & repeat that famous line from Animal House - 'Thank you, Sir. May I have another?' I looked up the word 'monopoly' in the dictionary & it said 'Take it to your local RSC'.

Evening folks, Fresh off the anvil, the eclectically elegant GMT Luminor 29 "B". The explorer bezel is a nod to Rolex while the tuxedo dial is all about early Panerai panache. Hope you like it, parts list at the bottom. Specifications: -Honpo original thin case 29 w/ full deco 2893-2 movement -Genuine dial -Genuine hands -Genuine crown -Genuine fat font bezel (A-Series) -MM104 crystal w/ Chief cyclops -Finepics DW -Custom SS crown tube -My usual CG mods (lever bushing, chamfering, bevel, etc.)

Hey guys! Just been and tried the new version of the Hub CF, that now has small seconds and no DW. Looks pretty cool, and would seem to be easier to make an accurate rep of since the issue with the misalignment of the DW window is not longer an issue that needs to be dealt with! Another issue that I wanted to adress is the strange fact that all the hub reps are Swiss ETA movements, or asian ETA, but what is the point in using ETA when Hublot gen movements are not in-house. (With the exception of a select few; HUB9001, HUB6003, HUB8000, HUB6002, HUB9000 and the famous MP02. All of these movements are exceedingly rare in percentage of usage in the Hublot range.) The thing that nobody will ever admit, is that Hublot gen movements are in fact heavily modified Sellita movements. Why isn't the Hublot rep range made with Sellita movements, like a certain amount of other reps are? The DW Window problem would certainly be easier to fix, along with many other things! CS

It doesn't take the ghost of TTK to see you continue to stand up for a guy that has proven himself to be flat out dishonorable in his dealings with other members' property. That says a lot about you as well. In the shady world of replica products one's honorable reputation is the only real currency as a member of the rep community. Without it you tend to end up in the scammer category.

Mike has clearly (well clearly to most of us) decided that rwg members are worthless and dont deserve so much as a f*uck you. This has gone on far too long and to far too many people to be a coincedence. He has 7 members watches (that i know of), some for over 6 months and has ceased communication with them all including me. Coupled with the facebook message he posted telling all rwg and rwi members to go f*uck themselves i would say that it doesnt take s genius to work out that things have gone sour. I find it disturbing that you continue to defend mike after so many members have raised issues. Also how is mike not returning our watches any different from tony's example of a tv repair man not returning your tv? Or taking your car for a service to find the garage wont fix it or give it back?

As discussed some months ago, there is another option (future inevitability, as parts become less and less available) and that will be having no other option but to install aftermarket parts, thus turning a gen into a franken. I nearly used the term 'reducing' rather than 'turning', but did not simply because of the rationale Ronin mentioned with cars. Sure, aftermarket parts might mean Item X commands a lower price than the unmodified Item Y, but, it is still 'a real Rolex/Porsche'. And of course, if the owner of said item has no plans for resale, then the sale value becomes a somewhat moot point, imho I'd rather wear a functional franken, than have a totally gen paperweight

Shame, because the Fiddy which looks SO BAD on so many butch guys, looked fabulous on my dainty wrist when I put it on, cracked sapphire and all.
