Ok guys, I need your help. Recently I have become suspicious that my wife of nearly 10 years has been having an affair. She goes out without telling me where she is going and comes home late. She never dresses up nice for me anymore but goes out made up to the nines. I started to worry about a fortnight ago when she started making excuses in 'the bedroom'. Anyway, rightly or wrongly I decided to follow her yesterday afternoon. She thought that I was working but I knew something was up so I crept out and managed to get to my car and follow her without her seeing me. She drove about 2 miles and parked up outside a house and climbed out of her car. I saw her straighten her dress before she walked to the door of the house and disappear inside. I sat there thinking about all the good times we'd had over the years and felt myself becoming desperate. What would I do without her? She finally reappeared what seemed like an age later. I glanced down at my watch and discovered that the pearl had fallen out. So guys, do I try and find a new pearl or just buy a new bezel insert? Noob V5 Sub BTW.

At work a blonde coworker was having trouble entering her password without making mistakes. I offered to help and watched her type a crazy long string of letters as the password. Of course she made mistakes, backspaced, tried again, and it kept failing. Finally I asked what she was doing using as her password? So she typed out: "BashfulDocDopeyGrumpyHappySleepySneezyForrestGumpTallahassee" Almost hating to hear her reply, I asked why she chose that password? She said someone told her the rule is "7 characters, a special character and a capital".

That depends on what year build you are trying to replicate. First off, the ETA 2846 would be the slow beat movement, use the same GMT conversion parts as the ETA 2836, and closer to the original. Early 6542s had the 13mm minute hand, later and serviced 6542s had the 12mm, which was used in sport Rolex to 2006 when they went maxi. Helenarou is the only one I know of for the 13mm hand. The hands that most suppliers sell are good and quite acceptable. I like Clark's hands, sold as 'Tudor' to fit the ETA movement. The first pic is the 13mm minute hand on an ETA 2846. Both the minute hand and the GMT hand go right to the gilt ring when looking straight on. The 2nd pic is a 12mm minute hand from Rafflestime on a DG3804b movement.

Yup! the dial baked in the sun but the case was taken care of, one of those examples of a perfect case but sun baked dial.

@Rolojack, you promised me a great build, I fully trusted in you ....but this an epic one my friend. Just amazing and can't wait to get it on my wrist!!! Thanks so much, only need a nice bracelet for it...

Actually we can skip BP as clearly being not very good, but the SWF version seems to be the best, have a look at the pictures, they got the concentric circles right as well as the two-tone lume (hands vs. markers) and the sunburst, even the engravings on the backside are very good (not that I would care very much for that). Of course the rotor of the ZF is better decorated, but IMO that does not matter the slightest bit on a closed caseback anyway. So actually my vote goes for the SWF, but I would like to make use of the wisdom of the forum, what do you guys think? Hello all, here is an other modified Cartel case based 5513 build. The mods and parts list to achieve this are as follows: - Cartel 1680 supplied by Trevor as efficient as always - Gilt Underline dial supplied by Yuki - 700 crown by Athaya - Sternkreuz T19 - Aussie springbars What has been done: Mid case crown guards shaved and reshaped, rehaut re-milled, crown seat lowered so the crown is nearer to the bezel, lugs reshaped and finished with the correct angled brushing, lug holes enlarged to fit gen spec spring bars, bezel ring re-milled to tight fit the gen spec T19, bezel insert slimmed to seat lower in the revolving ring and treated with sodium hydroxide for aging, dial treated with a mix of ink and PVP to simulate the gloss finish age -hard to capture on the pics but in the flesh it gives a lot of depth and character to the finish-, hands treated with ink and PVP together with the dial, and..... lots of love !!!
