  1. As of today, all members (that means members, VIP, Platinum and Diamond supporters) are able to post watches for sale in our sales threads. You no longer have to upgrade your membership to be able to post a watch for sale. Also, we have created a new forum, Name & Shame, a designated area where you can tell about trades gone bad and warn your fellow members about other members they should stay away from. And as always; buyers beware! Check members feedback, if any and do your due diligence on new members. RWG is NOT responsible for trades/sales between members and we do not get involved in trades/sales! Also, for a limited time, we are running a 50% discount on all membership upgrades, to upgrade your membership now to get rid of all the ads, search engine restrictions, bigger PM inbox, a cool badge next to your name, support the forum, etc. You can find our store here: http://rwg.cc/store Use coupon code D377C at checkout

  3. Just finished my 5500 (1965, gen) with Explorer dial. Got the dial from Yukiwatch in white lume and used Iodine to give the markers and hands some color after which I baked the dial. Finished it with a light matte varnish spray. Wasted one dial under the grill (paint started pealing off), part of the learning curve I guess. Far from perfect but will do for now. Cheers

  6. The S.H.I.T. and BR.O.K.E theorems are preceded in familiarity only by John Gabriel's Greater Internet Dickwad Theory. This is what keeps our intrepid band of Moderators on their toes.

  7. Quality over quantity? That's the Simplified Horological Internet Theorem (S.H.I.T.) Adding in the Beer Coefficient "ß" we can rewrite this more accurately as... QL(1/ß) ÷ QN(1/ß) which is widely known as the BeeR Overload Kinetic Expenditure (B.R.O.K.E.) theorem. Note the reciprocals of the Beer Coefficients ... there's where we run into trouble. Suck down a few beers and your appreciation for Quality (QL) goes out the window, while at the same time your desire for Quantity (QN) approaches infinity. Then the next day when your Beer Coefficient has (hopefully) returned to zero, your appreciation for Quality likewise returns.

  13. Great looking watch and looking good on the leather strap! Your dial indexes have more texture to them (look more raised) which I like a lot. Gets closer to the all original Tudor 7928 which I added to my collection last year. Cheers
