Iwc Group Buy, El Closes The Gap.....!
Bignasty replied to Richard Tracy's topic in General Discussion
Around $200 would get me in! Not the AMG but the regular model 2824. -
If this watch was made with two improvements I would be all over it. I've seen the gen at my local CostCo and its a real big beauty. Needs: 1. AR coated crystal (genuine sapphire of course! 2. And more importantly a 28,800bph movement. Of course if a Chronomat Evolution rep came I would also be all over that one too! HINT HINT!

Don't really care about the feud between a watch modder/modders and members , but River I really feel for you! I hate these scammers with a passion! I agree, release the name and address so they can be blacklisted permanently and some other members might be able to pursue them further.

Cover Up? Or Did It Really Happen The Way They Say
Bignasty replied to swdivad's topic in The looney bin
I watched about 10-15 minutes of this a few weeks ago around the 5 year anniversary. All I can say is I had to stop it before the crap piled up too high that I couldn't breath in my own apartment. The movie, in my opinion, was a bag of bull $hit. I think it is disrespectful to those that died and a disgrace to their families and friends. I don't know if you guys have ever seen Pen & Teller but they called BS on this a long time ago. Conspiracy theories are just that, theories. Even Oliver Stone was smart enough to not make this story a conspiracy and he seems to be the king of them, ie. "JFK" and "Nixon". I don't know what it is in people's heads that makes them believe this stuff. Regardless of my feelings about Clinton/Bush I still refuse to believe the US Govt had anything to do with this attack, well except for not acting when they should have. 9/11 was a day that I will never forget. I hope no country ever has to endure another attack of this nature or magnitude. Everyone is entitled to their opinion but this one I just flat out don't agree with. -
Review Of A Rollie With $600 In Upgrades...
Bignasty replied to RWG Technical's topic in Watch Repair & Upgrade
Yeah I had to notch the caseback in order to remove it. Movement was ruined in the process. I've still got the case, bracelet, and hands for possibly a future project. Horrible how the back was on though. Almost like it was glued . -

Omega Smp Chrono Revealed! Best I've Seen Yet!
Bignasty replied to Bignasty's topic in The Omega Area
I agree. I'm very pleased. Also your avatar raises the question: Have you seen the new extended Casino Royale trailer? Looks likes its going to be much better than the previous films. Watches, money, super cars, and beautiful women? What more could you ask for out of entertainment? PS> The names Bond, James Bond! -
Just got the new SMP Chrono in that dealers are now carrying. Best rep I've held lately. The quality is amazing. Buy a gen bracelet and you have the real thing! The dial is beautiful. The crystal seems perfect. Its got the new 28,800vph movement which is basically the genuine movement. The bezel pearl is the closet I've seen, next to the seawolf/chrono avenger reps. Best money I've spent on a rep in a while. I got mine from River, but it seems as though all our dealers will be carrying them soon. A fantastic steal for the dough. I hope there's more like these coming soon (perhaps a Chronomat rep will be next???)! Here's the candy! PS> This one came from River. First deal with him/her and it worked flawlessly. Ordered on Friday~Recieved on a Tuesday!

I had an upconvert DVD player but was very dissapointed with the quality of picture on my Samsung 42" DLP. I ended up returning it and going back to my Progressive Scan DVD with component video. Now I'm actually using an extra PC I had lying around. I got a DD/DTS sound card for my machine so I can get digital sound via optical cable. And I'm using the PC input (ordinary computer monitor cable) to bring in the video. I've got the resolution on the PC's video card set to 720p and the picture looks quite great for ordinary DVD's. Of course I can also browse the web, check email, and do various other things too with the machine. So my experience ultimately wasn't as good as yours with the upconvert player. I'll buy an HD DVD player or BluRay player once the battle for marketshare forecasts a winner. Also waiting for the price drop. For now my PC makes me very happy. As for the Harmony remotes. They are pretty great. I have one but don't even use it. I've found that the success of the remote really depends on the success of your equipment. Best way to use it is to eliminate as much switching as possible. If I had an audio receiver that did HDMI upconvert and switching I would absolutely break out the Harmony again. But the time delay for switching between video/audio sources is just a bit too long for my impatient girlfriend. I've now transitioned back to using just two remotes. My DVR/Cable remote and occasionally the Audio Receiver's remote. Jon

Hidden Treasure? ....full Size 18kss Yachtmaster, Model 16623

Gen dial has arrows pointing towards the second hand. Rep seems to lack this. Jon -
Love those Breits. Did you have the AR applied to the Bent? Also that Navitimer World is great. Rep or Gen? I want the new rep badly but don't know about the 21,600 vph movements. Cheers, Jon

So I got the "Ultimate" Fiddy from Andrew awhile back. The crystal popped spontaneously after it scratched. And in the process the dial was scratched as well. So I needed some parts. The minute hand was also finished a bit roughly as well. So I decided to do a bit of modding. I got in touch with Davidsend and ordered his Sapphire AR crystal, new dial, and capped hands. Well after several weeks of waiting for the new parts to roll of the assembly line I've gotten the watch complete. And might I say, I was planning on selling this watch once I got it all put back together but after wearing today I don't think that wil be happening anytime soon! This watch is a real beaut. Oh and to top it all off I just strapped on a nice DON strap. Very nice strap for the $$$! Enjoy the quick snaps. Jon

The vintage hands were a bit different. I decided to use these because I had them around the house. Trust me this was a very low budget project! Cheers, Jon -
