  1. Correct, the 188 w/ 7753 is the lower bezel then the Gen. My 250 w/7753 has the same issue as well. That is why I got the old school cases as they have the correct thickness of bezels. Don't know if the bezels are interchangeable with the 7753/A7750 cases. Thought I saw on TRC back in the day this was not possible. Same as the case back. If you notice the old school case (196) has a thicker case back as well.
  2. BB is correct. 236 is the bracelet version. 250 is the strap version.
  3. I love all the new in house calibers being developed with ETA pulling back their reigns. Dead sexy! Love the massive bridges!
  4. Oak strap boxes from OfficialTime on the Bay. Have 3 of them.
  5. It is a lot finer of a mesh then the Gen. Like to see how it is adjustable as the gen as actual screw in links that remove. This does not appear to work like that.
  6. --------------------------- R, I am calling first dips on that piece when you hate seeing it in your collection!
  7. For quality yes, I along with most would spend the extra money. Quality is some thing that is value added IMO. The V2 simply has corrections done to make it more realistic to the Gen, these corrections do not increase quality, they just make it
  8. It is for second time zone! Just leave it to Breitling to come up with a cool way to do it!
  9. It is more then likely the crown tube as the rep threads are very poor and not cut deep enough Ask you dealer for a replacement tube. Any watch maker should be able to unscrew the damaged tube and install the new one. This is really a simple fix. Eventually the new one will go as well. You really need to take care when unscrewing/screwing the crown in.
  10. If you are buying the rep to decide on owning a gen, does it really matter if it is a V1, V2, V3
  11. Been spending my day in the lab testing the Gen Rolex case as my puter has a wonderful virus! So I will be updating my above post. Anyway, you do not have to worry about lead in stinaless steel or most steels for that fact. Lead does not play well with other metals due to the extremely low melting temp. Stainless Steel melts around 2500 degrees F, about 4 times hotter then what it take Lead to melt. Any traces of lead found in products made from stainless steel or plain steel is usually from soldier used to join to pieces together.
  12. Yeah, but the blue looks so good buddy!
  13. Online. Funny thing was he only saved abut $75 on about $500 worth of cables. If there were form a store, There would be huge repercussions from the manufacture I am sure. Could see all kinds of lawsuits for violation of licensing agreements and such. The ironic thing is, my buddy came up and patented a utility cart that has been doing well for him. Paid for R&D and all the tooling out of his own pocket. He took one of the first production units to a couple hardware stores to see if they would be interested in carrying his product. One of the owners told him
  14. Friend of mine bought some A/V Monster Cables for his new theater. Terrible picture from cable and DVD source, even tried another DVD player, even worse sound. Called Monster, after 15 minute phone call, a couple of e-mails showing the product he bought.....yep FAKE cables form China! I still can not get over that one! If it is not nailed down, they will copy it. R&D in China = Receive and Duplicate.
  15. Animals are our friends not our food! "Vegetarians are cool. All I eat are vegetarians - except for the occasional mountain lion steak." -Ted Nugent Komodo Dragon Burgers? They use that at White Castle right?
  16. If you want one with the Breitling wing, contact the or dealers (Although they are not very good IMO). If you don't mind not having the wings, then you can pick them up from various sources such as Ebay like Pete mentioned.
  17. When first starting out you will shut one eye because it seems natural. It will may take you time to develop using a loop while keeping both eyes open. The most effect I got was when I was done, the eye I was using the loop on was always focused up close and would not focus on far away objects. Goes away after 20 minutes or so after your loop eye relaxes. Never have strained to the point of feeling it though. Everyone is different. Really depends on if you have a dominate I too. I used to be right eye dominate, but have overcome this and now can use both eyes equally. Like when shooting a gun.
  18. Yep. No different then any mechanical watch!
  19. You will be fine with a Chronomat.
  20. 5x loupe for assembly when I need it, 10x loupe for inspection.
  21. I am loving the black Pams more and more! Must get one.....
