the wm9v2 sub still has a wrong crown height, but i believe the LV case can house a 2892 or 2824 with correct height

zappos is a rip off for international customers. not only is their msrp over priced but their shipping is ridiculous AND they automatically send it to a brokerage house. I bought the EXACT same boots they had on zappos that would of cost me $165 delivered for $65 from the amazing shoe store, an ebay dealer with a small paypal store. no brokerage fees or customs EXACT same model.

Not sure how I feel about this dial I have installed on my MBK. It's a zubmariner and the date cut out on the dial looks a lil wide in photos. the dial print doesnt seem as bright white as the noob dial and the indices markers seem slimmer (note: the dial print IS as sharp as the noobs the camera is on high ISO so the detail is distorted) the same MBK with noob dial installed: so I also have a noob dial on hand. thoughts... opinions?

thanks for all the help so far. I found a GEN for whoever else might be looking...too rich for my blood tho $$$ http://cgi.ebay.com/Rolex-Submariner-Bezel-Insert-Luminova-16800-16613-2x_W0QQitemZ390086712443QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item5ad2fadc7b&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14

maybe he's changed his business practises since then. His feedback isnt terrible but he does keep all items private so it's hard to tell what feedback is for what. but besides that I really have no choice and this is all that stands in my way of finishing this project. He assures me it'll fit 100%, I just hope the metal is of good quality and that the bezel ring coin edge is at least accurate. At the very least I hope it's as good or even better than the stock MBK quality one. Unless I can find another bezel assembly (wm9 is sold out for who knows how long)I'll more than likely pick this up next week and i'll post my findings and experience with some pics for you guys to judge the quality. thanks for the prebuying input.

becareful going this route as it exposes the crystal gasket with the 1mm being shaved from the retaining ring and moisture will 100% appear in your watch from just washing your hands, also moderate pressure WILL pop your crystal off... i speak from experience.
-
might be too late, but there is an issue with the bezel ring being too short and thus the an aftermarket or gen insert wont snap in properly. if you change the bezel ring you'll more than likely have to change the retaining ring as well. add $130 to the price

I'm planning on buying this http://cgi.ebay.com/BEZEL-INSERT-RETAINING-RING-FOR-SUBMARINER-BLACK_W0QQitemZ290324104954QQcategoryZ57714QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp3907.m263QQ_trkparmsZalgo%3DSIC%26itu%3DUCI%252BIA%252BUA%252BFICS%252BUFI%252BDDSIC%26otn%3D12%26po%3DLVI%26ps%3D54 cause im out of options for my flawed euromariners bezel assembly (retaining ring takes on moisture and the bezel ring is too short)I cant find any spares and wm9 parts are supposedly back ordered. does anyone have any experience with watchbandmans parts? any thoughts? insights?

do you think the sternkreuz 336 is the best choice for one not wanting to mess with glue?

how tall is that crystal accutron?
-
n/m i figured out the puzzle. : ) HOWEVER- somehow/somewhere I lost the jewel bearing that the escapement wheel pivots on, so it's GAME OVER anyways.

not me personally, but i'd say my feet have slightly higher arches. These are my first pair too. I wear these and just normal adidas walking shoes. I find these boots in particular very comfortable in fact, and the leather is very soft. The soles are a little slippery at first, should get them cobbeled with rubber which also protects the wear through. But it's nice not seeing any one else around here wearing the same style as you.

Cyclops and crown tube removal
highoeyazmuhudee replied to redwatch's topic in Watch Repair & Upgrade
use a crystal press with a smaller die size the retaining and push it out with leverage from the underside, worked for me. However I couldnt for the life of me get a cyclops off a noob crystal. I let it sit in acetone for 24hours, NOTHING. I held a soddering iron to the cyclops at the bottom while it was RED hot for minutes at a time and NOTHING! I gave up, but gained a high amount of respect for the crystal used in the noob sub. hopefully you have better luck than me. -
men's style - custom tailored shirts
highoeyazmuhudee replied to deltatahoe's topic in Style and looks
I got a custom made shirt cause i couldnt find this collar style anywhere (as seen in goodfellas) cost me about $70, and I have the privelage of not seeing it anywhere else or on any one else (except on joe pesci and deniro). So I think it was worth it. -
I prefer a bit of heel my self. and these are PURE sex with well fitting jeans http://www.zappos.com/giorgio-brutini-2019-black-baby-calf

I disassembled the movement to either replace or reset the hack lever, luckily it wasnt crushed and seemed to be in its place. But now Im trying to understand the interplay between the two parts circled as im not sure how they go back together. The parts in the exploded view on the oil chart look different than the "same" parts in the directory of parts on the oil chart (which mine look like)

I took a good long look at a gen speedy today. the rehaut seems to be a mat to satin gray and the plexi crystal is pretty bulbous

There's nothing like seeing the real deals crown gaurds in the flesh. pictures dont offer nearly as much insight as a 3 dimensional look at them does. I found this out at a recent visit to the AD where I could actually handle the piece.
-
was that crystal aftermarket? or stock on the older reps?
-
are there any tutorials around that show you how to get to the hack lever in a systematic order so I can inspect it? I only found one for a 2892 which I believe is different, and my local watch maker in the shopping centre is asking $300 for the repair and a servicing (and that doesnt include taxes). YIKES

Thanks yet again The Zigmeister, always there to help.

Home-made Snowflake Tudor Dial Transfers
highoeyazmuhudee replied to TeeJay's topic in The Rolex Area
Me likey! how long did the whole thing take not including creating the dial template? Any plans to sell dials? -
What would cause a 2836 movement to stop hacking when the crown is pulled out to the time setting pos? last thing i did to this movement before this happened was reset the keyless works and that works perfectly now. any ideas?
