Next best tube for a 1680/16610 sub
highoeyazmuhudee replied to klocklind1's topic in The Rolex Area
dont buy the WSO one, that palstic handle is useless and you ll destroy the toll on the first install. id get one of these http://www.julesbore...C08page0256.htm same price as the WSO ones (maybe $5 more than wso) but ALL METAL, and the cross bar adds for some nice torque dont skimp on buying this tool "cheap" otherwise you ll waste your money in the short term and still have to buy the more expensive one. -
sounds like a plan, 80 grit tho may be too deep. id try 220 first and see how that grabs ya

Trying to buy a home for the past 7 years
highoeyazmuhudee replied to tonyp1's topic in The looney bin
nothing under $600K here so $88K sounds sweet! even 130K! hell a cheap condo 'round here starts at 300K thought the banks were tightening down on the whole lending thing no matter how good your credit rating, cash is king...always. if you do buy an older home (1930) it might be hard for it to pass inspection, asbestos wrapped pipes, vermiculite in the attic, [censored] and tube wiring, plaster walls, it sounds nice to own a home with a lot of history but the before mentioned things i would not (ever) want to personally deal with. -

found Yukis to be the best very close to gen good material, Wholesale outlet are the WORST and may in fact be made out of aluminum they rip apart under the slightest of resistance. clarks are good but a little stubby compared with the gen tube height. but all tubes seem to lack that little flat part for the flat rubber washer that sits between the case and the tube, none even include it. -
ingod dial clarks hands gen isnert gen crown the rest i cant see whats your recipe?

i thought it was a joke at first, the first pic i saw was on another forum and i thought someone photoshopped something ugly together just to be ironic, but lo and behold its a real production watch. its pretty ug mo but the engineering and technical ability of that movement is amazing. (remember its all mechanical) just watch: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6ESKmhfXAtU&feature=player_embedded

i must say they are simple and non offensive... a great homage to their predecessors. question is, what do they cost? Rolex prices or MK][ prices? i think i know the answer... -
Asian 2836 Winding Problems
highoeyazmuhudee replied to always.closing's topic in General Discussion
could be a problem with the barrel/ratchet , ive never had luck with clone movements, even find true 21 jewel slow beat chinese movements to be more reliable. it sounds like you might be sending it back. -
there are no decent 93150s that yuki one is severely flawed subs from 2005 had both lug holes and sel bracelets on the same watch

color looks wrong to me as does the "4" -
alright here it is my DIY press. this has worked for me perfectly 100% of the time with out scratches or dents or anything else. it almost works too perfectly. ive used this on 5513, 1665, and 16610s some tube hosing i bought from the home depot, you can see the SKU on it in case you want to by this exact piece, a solid plastic disc that was a part of my crystal press set, i put some electrical tape on the area that makes contact for added security of not scratching things, but is probably not necessary. method- hold case with caseback against the nylon disc and put the retinaing ring on the case enough that it can sit horizontally with out falling off or shifting, place the hose piece over top of the ring it is a near perfect fit ( i may have sanded it down to fit perfectly over the ring i dont remember) get enough tension in the vice to hold all the parts straight horizontally, start cranking the vice slowly, rotate the case by backing up the vice jaws so you can turn the case and then close the vice again so you are evenly working down the ring. this will work for you

ive seen worse oh look, here it is... worse: my god YES it is real even this one trumps yours: ALL this can be yours for $16K on ebay RIGHT NOW

so you would tear it apart? if you paid more $900 for it its not worth cannibalizing. if you paid less.... then you are one lucky sob
-
does is it have a modified setting bridge? is the stem too long? is the stem damaged? is the movement all original parts? is the castle wheel dislodge? many variables. either way it needs a pulling apart. where do you live? if its not overseas and post is cheap i would take a look at it for you, just pay round shipping.

Nice Submariner Feature in current (Apr 2012) Watchtime

any one want to scan some pages for us ??? -
i think the crown position is too low, it wont line up, and its not something you can change. the case was made for the readily available 2836 and 2836 clones. which is why i think the new TC sub is all the rage and why youre seeing at least one bk tw watch for sale each day in the sales section this week.

is this an MBW 5513? if so that is a common problem with that model.
