  1. very nice TC. youre making me think crazy thoughts... like just sucking it up and getting that engraved rehaut V serial. ARRRGH
  2. you can get whatever you like from MBK, its up to the dealer selling it to you if they want to sell you a whole watch or just a part, one is obviously more worth their time since it can command a higher margin of return. @1680 you mean on the bracelet?
  3. then i suggest spending $99 more and getting a way better case to sink $700 into from the beginning.
  4. its a good starter no date vintage sub and great beater for the $100 price tag, but i wouldnt sink any vast amount of $$ into modding it.
  5. almost looks an old MBK 16610 case. id get a better bracelet then wear the sh!t out of it
  6. that depends. are the 1680s the new model 1680 MBWs that have been shipping out or the old style (not 1680 but 1680) MBWs. the red dials were never good and the MBW straps are less correct than PTs
  7. if youd like i can redrill them for you and attempt to get things straightened out. just pay the shipping
  8. the MBW dial is pretty good as is, but the ingods also look amazing. if you dont mind shelling out $120 i say go for it. one big tell for me on rep hands is always the size of the round mercedes part, on the gen it is much noticeably larger GEN HANDS stock MBW parts 1665
  9. maybe they were not drilled straight or large enough. if ubi did it however i doubt this to be the case. sometimes they need a bit of wiggling to get them [the bars] to 'snap in' . but yes maybe theyre not gen endlinks or the case you bought was not an MBW. was it a POLEX L342 XXX ? if you hold the endlinks against the case are they too tall slightly rising above the lugs? if this is true then they are not genuine
  10. +1 on the courier. UPS is a dirty word 'round these parts. those insane 45% brokerage fees
  11. when youre looking to sell the bracelet let me know, im getting tired of the nato
  12. HK is a great city! love it. maybe even more so than BKK. Chiang Mai is a must visit for anyone going to Thailand, its an easy going mountain town, be sure to check out the buddhist temple a top the mountain and the zoo-quarium in town (if thats your sort of thing) i believe they have the giant panda bears on display until this year only, you can also snorkel in their massive aquarium! angkor wat in cambodia is also a very cool place to be, siem reap in general is a very nice french colonial city with great pubs and great bakeries
  13. we must not forget that rolex and any other fore mentioned company is a business, they exist to make money, people will buy at whatever ludicrous price point they put out this year, that is their market. they justify these high prices by stroking the ego of those who can afford their new MSRPs with words like "exclusive" and "deserving"
  14. see in this case the problem was someone filled out the customs forms correctly. add words like "parts" "repair" value of 24-45$ and ive personally never had a problem.
  15. i never found the sea dweller too big. just too tall, like you were wearing a dome shaped stadium on your wrist. much prefer the slimmer profile of the 5513
  16. sweeeeet! what bracelet ya got on there now?
  17. here ya go hope this helps somewhat these are both 1:1 MBWs
  18. youd be surprised to learn that a submariner costs about $500 to produce. COSC testing and marketing are probably the larger part of the budget
  19. the case is indeed taller. i will post a quick picture later side by side for you.
  20. FORGET IT! his parts dont fit, bought a few T19s the GEN bezel insert wouldnt even fit over the crystal, the crystal cracked during installation. his retaining rings are too large as well let moisture in under the crystal, his 703 tubes rip in half when you install them its like theyre made out of aluminum, his 703 wrench tool is a bloody joke since all that's counteracting your force as you screw down or unscrew a 703 tube is a little [censored] (really? they censored k n o b ?) of plastic which gets chewed away with the pressure. it broke around the second time i really used it. clarks is way better for crystals, yuki tubes im now convinced are a good alternative to gen.
