did you wind it by turning the crown in the winding position about 30 times? does it start ticking when you shake it?

ahh thanks for the link +video. not 1:1 bezel huh. thats pretty disappointing, i wonder how well it fits a gen insert then. hmm that video tells a lot low sitting crown, non centered date -its left justified, non recessed insert, tall crystal. maybe it was the lens but the rehaut even looked a bit curvy. bracelet looked pretty nice though, even had the off center "push button" for the diving extension now if only they could make a rep 93150 correctly

angus seems to be selling them after a short recall. guess people are curious but skeptical, dont want to be out the $500 price tag if it turns out to be lemon. the watch itself looks very decent, maybe people dont want an LV only offering. once a review is written and the findings are favorable im sure many will be sold. if a black sub model is available and the movement is reliable and fits gen parts (although i doubt its 100% the balance wheel im betting is not interchangeable) id give it a go, get a gen datewheel, insert, maybe get some lug holes drilled out , oohh thatd be sweet.

i always thought it was wrong in the pic despite having this gen clone movement, the ceramic sub with the 3135 looks to be correct though. perception; maybe the case just isnt as thick as the gen

awesome! surprised a 2789 movement fit, its almost a full mm taller than the 2836 that comes standard in these cases. one question, why did you choose to over polish the lugs removing the bevel?

looks great as is! the movement probably does not need servicing just yet, but if you were going to get it serviced those parts you have could easily be swapped in at the same time. where in the world are you? that would help determine someone regional for your needs

it would be true that the crown height on cases made to accept rolex movements should be the standard height when compared with the original. but it could also be perception. depending on the eta movement it is typically found to have a lower crown height when using 28XX movement cases. looking at a yuki 5513 case the tube appears to be higher rather than lower, but is the case just thicker? i cant really see phongs or ndts well enough to form an opinion. to tell you the truth its not something i would worry too much about, its marginal at best

just to be clear the 1570 is a 19,800 bph the 2846 is 21,600bph as close as you can get to the original was the seller from the Philippines? i recall recently looking over a 2846 movement that was claimed to be serviced from this seller, FYI i noticed the rotor screw was missing and the bearing looked corroded in the ebay photos. if this is indeed the same movement you should get that sorted.

no, not at all, im not suggesting any one surf and buy with impunity common sense should prevail, but you dont have to limit your choices to only the accepted dealers here when shopping to remain safe all i was saying is your matter of fact answer was not entirely accurate or all encompassing (as you just admitted), a general rule of thumb would be to use trusted and established dealers here but "If none of the RWG dealers carry a watch,it either does not really exist or,you don't want it. You should know this by now,good luck." is not exactly true or accurate. that is it, nothing more nothing less. thats all i was saying take it at that and read nothing more into this. im done with this, its being lead down a rouge path by peoples over active imaginations.
