  1. or least layered black on white, NOT the other way 'round
  2. i too am contemplating a gen bracelet, any rep 93150 just isnt doing it. but it will add significant $$ to any project. question, how thick are the links? height wise...
  3. looks pretty good unless you want to get super picky clasp coronet is a tad large, the side of the clasp appears to be missing the indent over the micro size adjuster (looks like a PT clasp) insert appears to be a stock MBK with an ofrei pearl, you could always get a PMWF insert or gen im sure the bracelet is incorrect, as they all are. if you have more photos i could recommend more "tweaking", but as is it is pretty nice
  4. looking good did you broach these hands?
  5. so for an extra $1000 you get a case with a custom serial number and one that fits a gen movement that keeps COSC time, much like any 2846 can. must be one hell of a case... hope the cgs dont need fussing for that price. it should be noted stainless steel costs around $5/lbs
  6. that was my train of thought as well. UNTIL i read the serials on the M series were not chronological, also making them impossible to date. IMO its still less suspicious to have the engraving if you have an M serial because as we see here most people dont know the m serial can have a clean rehaut
  7. that is good to know, i was searching for examples of this
  8. cases are the same, casebacks are for the red dweller and white dweller respectively they still do.
  9. same year..nothing special... just gotta ask for the right parts, you think dealers really have a clue what theyre doing, dont even get me started on their lack of QC, which involves placing an order and picking it up a week later, as long as it says "rolex" on the dial it passes.
  10. that is not an mbk bracelet nor are those mbk endlinks. also that is an MBW 1665 RED case with an MBK white dial. you sure that crown is gen?
  11. is there glue causing it to lift? is the retaining ring not completely compressed flat?
  12. not worth it for "minor scratches" i bet if you did it yourself with a dremel you would make even more scratches
  13. very nice. let me try and guess the parts MBW red case PT bracelet/ends mbk datewheel mbk white dial mbk crown gen insert or wso cant see it well enough ofrei pearl if not gen. clarks crystal
  14. your technique is wrong. i use the green stuff but if you dont sand all the way from 400- to at least 2,000 grit first you will get this. i personally sand to 8,000 grit. beyond that it is also all in the way you sand, your actual hand technique when both sanding and then polishing afterwards. it took me awhile to get it perfect but i can now return any case i work on back to a factory mirror finish. before i used to get "hazing" or these fine lines when viewed at different angles in different lighting. for compound most people use green and it works perfectly for me as well, its rated for stainless steel. i apply it with a dremel and a hard felt buffing wheel i am very satisfied with this outcome and i am very picky wen it comes to polishing.
  15. looks like an ingod dial to me, cept i dont think his have the back plate stamping like this one.
  16. you are correct, it is incorrect the M serial should repeat on the inside as well
  17. because no one likes the engraving but the factory stamps it as an m serial, theyre clearly pulling it off the line before the rehaut engraving gets done. i think its a reasonable compromise to be able to have a clean rehaut. do you really think the inconsistency between the serial number engravings will be the first thing that gives it away anyways? didnt bk offer both versions? id worry more about that bezel insert
  18. amazing when the day arrives that it all comes together
