Hi
My Father has a 15yo DJ that he never serviced (the watch lived for 15 years and... of course... stopped ), and since Rolex is asking him way too much for servicing, he's wearing a cheap Festina instead
Can anybody recommend a good watchsmith in Paris with decent prices?
Thanks
I second that (sorry Stephane )
You're a collector, get a collector watch (and a SSD also, but go for a rep on this one)
But isn't Ulysse Nardin too much of a safe bet? I mean, as collector, shoud'nt we be looking for risky investments in promising ventures? (did I mention I work for web-startups ;-) )
My next gen choice would be one of these :
Martin Braun has recently joined Franck Muller Group ( who's creative genius, Mr Franck Muller, is sadly not working there anymore) and is the new creative guy there!!

French letters = Capote Anglaise (litt. "English condom")
Just like the kiss, condoms change their nationality when crossing the border between France and UK... Those two always had a strange love/hate relationship
Corgi's right, if you like the design, and if price isn't an issue, you can't go wrong with a PP Nautilus (and go for the MBK version, it's worth the extra $$). Fits perfectly a small wrist, unlike an MBK Audemars Piguet Royal Oak, and the blue dial is.... fascinating...
Are you studying other kind of underground economy also ? I remember seeing stuff about drug dealer on Orkut being busted by the Brazilian gov...
Will you publish your thesis on the web ?? Is so, please give us a link
I agree, when I first met my wife, I gave her on of my Rolex rep, she kept telling me it was bogus, could'nt keep time and frozed from time to time.
It took about a month for me to realize she has no idea what an automatic watch was and how to handle those babies.
Of course, that was 7 years ago...
Wempe, rue Royale in Paris, stunning selection, nice people, and my favorite, near the river Seine on the boulevard Saint Germain, hold by an old watchsmith and collector, really in love with his babies :
