I changed from black dial to white dial- and need to change the hands. Does anybody have a set of hands for a white dial explorer that they could sell?
you're on point except for a DOA watch. It is reasonable to expect the watch to work. That does not imply workability the same as a serviced watch, but it should function. In your case- contact the dealer and he'll replace. This practice seems to indicate that they agree with my assessment.
(not sure why, but it didn't let me load the photo directly to RWG)
Here's another MBW- old style case with:
Gen crystal, crown, insert, bracelet
the dial and hands are from yuki and are perfectly aged.
I was on 'risti the other day and notice a strap sale. The guy selling made the comment that poor storage led to a few marks on the inside of the strap. That made me think- how should a strap be stored?
does anybody have hands that have some aging? I've got a gen dial that I'm going to put into a noob case- but the dial has aging- so I need hands that have some color. PM me if you have something.
Thanks!
just to clarify- the 2836 has a correct hand stack but it's a modified GMT mo dual? Is that correct? I've got an Explorer II (BK noob), but I want to swap out the movement for the correct hand stack.
incidentally, jmb did an amazing job. I started with an MBW base and he added a gen 127, gen crown/tube, and gen insert. Gen slow beat ETA, Yuki aged dial/hands. He also added one of his custom DWs (which looks amazing!) and finally- added a gen bracelet. He was really great to work with.
anybody have an extra screw- or link? Just got my 1680 back from jmb and was fitting the gen bracelet- but I needed another link. Looked around- but I didn't have a space. So, I borrowed a link from my Explorer II bracelet (also gen)- but the link won't screw into my sub bracelet. The screws are different and the Expl II link won't secure- or tighten- when trying to attach it to the bracelet. (Sorry if this isn't clear).
Any ideas, or does anybody have a screw, or a 93150 link?
can you add (drill) lug holes to an older noob? I've got a non lug hole noob and added a gen white dial. but- the dial has a little bit of age and wouldn't look right without holes. Thoughts?
