  1. A worthy second opinion. Could be right. You could well have the 'pox In which case, you'll need a coffee and pigs' blood enema, followed by quarantine for 30 days. Oh and your entire strap collection will need to be burnt on a pearwood pyre. That'll teach you.
  2. Maybe should have stopped at school-level biology? Mind you, during an exam (as in study not clinical!) I once mistook a removed uterus and ovaries for pharynx and palatine tonsils Well, they do look very similar, stretchy leathery sheet with a couple of squishy balls, pfff who's to say? Fortunately my dexterity and textbook science made up for such teeny weeny mistakes. But seriously, V, speak to your Dad about inappropriate use of antibiotics and possible consequences. Honestly, it annoys me that global warming and bloody carbon footprints seems to be the topic d'jour these days, a pathetic joke in comparison with other more realistic threats Oh and BTW, I'm in the private sector now, so you can expect my invoice via PM in due course
  3. Sorry to hear that VB, but a few things.... 1. You're self-medicating with an antibiotic? What for? I know they give them out like sweeties over there, but apart from being totally pointless for suspected food poisoining never mind infection of some sort, it's also quite irresponsible . Ask your Dad why. 2. At the same time, ask him to explain why antibiotics don't have anything to do with the "central nervous system" but everything to do with the "immune system" 3. Cape Cod contains petroleum-based (hydrocarbon) compounds - same as putting diesel in your car, use gloves - as you realise, there's a very good reason for their presence in the tin. Not to mention any reaction with the other products you were using. 4. You almost certainly have a mild contact dermatitis, use some type of aloe or soothing cream to reduce the irritation and pop a couple of antihistamines. You'll be fine.
  4. Another from me. Sorry bored now, no more 'celebs' to add
  5. Could not agree more Not being a snob but some of the cheesy celebs aside, I just have no idea who all those Z-list rappers and American football players are. Or the strange German blokes for that matter. Ah the cult of the 'celebrity' But since we're being insular, I'll submit the sublimely-skilled Fabio Aurelio and his 091 (my favourite of all)...
  6. Hmm, really? Interesting. Old factory rep CA? Would appreciate your thoughts via PM, as I'm about to pick one up. cheers PP And yes, the curse of the pearl lives on, see the Blackbird
  7. Angus must know these would sell like hot cakes!!! By that I mean, the same blue-grey 'dial' would be perfect or failing that, the same blue-green as the Nauty. Black would just be disappointing.
  8. Source? All we've been hearing is "six months". I hear the Avenger Skyland (both versions) will be with us within the next 6-8 weeks though.
  9. Congrats K, my best wishes for a safe and straightforward pregnancy. But honestly, you really think you'll have MORE time after April?
  10. Gen has a 'P A N E R A I' engraving on it, same as reps Word of warning though, some of those rep 26mm pre-V buckles have sharp edges, so you may want to sand down a little.
  11. Long tongue? You mean 'loose' surely Well I missed the reply but I have an inkling. I can however identify with the misspent childhood. Picture a little six-year old Inglese boy playing hide 'n' seek with the security guards in the Uffizi archives Oh well, wasted at the time perhaps, but I guess it 'took' eventually.
  12. Indeed 'sniff' but look what a rare treat I picked up at Copenhagen airport (of all places ) only the other week. Made the THREE hour delay very bearable (that and Kristina the lovely girl in the jewellery store ) Apart from him being a terrible excuse for an actor you mean? He just has one of those faces and a set of mannerisms you just want punch....hard.....repeatedly. Same goes with Jamie Oliver. You adopted countrymen seem to have a thing for that [censored] also Based on yours truly of course although admittedly I'm still working on acquiring the pad in the 'Islands.
  13. I agree about that Paneristi 'lunch with Bonay' theory, VB If you look at the production still pic I uploaded in the second or third post here, you can see that baby is DEFINITELY the Burgundy/Bordeaux. As for you 'filimmm' night idea, here's some advice. Life is short. Do not waste it on Elizabethtown. Nor anything with Hugh Grant (lobotomy nonwithstanding). After the Sunset is fairly decent, although not a patch on Brosnan's remake of '..Crown Affair...' in which incidentally he wears the complete antithesis of a PAM.....a 'stealth' Jaeger Le Coultre Reverso Duo
  14. As in 'Godot' perhaps? Quite apt I think...
  15. Thanks V for backing me up on this (K, nice to see you back mate ) VB, 1. Being from Bonay's personal collection, the Fiddy would almost certainly sport OEM strap rather than third-party (even one as supreme quality as MF). For all I know, he may wear MF or MP or Dirk straps in private, but it would not be commercially appropriate to put a non-OEM strap on a watch for use in the media. 2. Actually, the 127 came with TWO straps (same as most gen 44mm Luminors come with one leather plus one rubber) - the one you refer to and what most people associate with the watch is the Golden Cashmere Calf. And it is the strap most gen Fiddy owners wear with it as it sets off the gold hands much better. However, the other factory-supplied spare strap is Bordeaux/Burgundy Calf - see pic below. Orlando's is showing some signs of wear/cracking (tut tut, no mink oil on set?), but it is definitely the 'wine' strap.
  16. Here's an on-set shot I believe it's an OEM Bordeaux Calf
  17. Oooh, can of worms.... Although a part of me agrees on such a hardline stance given the board's funding problems recently.
  18. Actually it's NOT original, that's the point The flattie would have been installed by an RSC at a later date. I can think of no more worthy a prize that deserves a NOS T39 superdome installation more. It just DEMANDS it. Go on Nanuq, it's not like you haven't squirrelled away a few for such an occasion
  19. Meh, that's what all the fuss is about??? If I had to choose (at gunpoint of course ) I'd prefer the new Cousteau. Sorry Pug. (p.s. put the pitchfork and burning torch away there's a good chap)
  20. You have the same 'good chance' every year but same same old Inter. Don't get me wrong, I like Inter (moreso than your city rivals), but they just have this aura of being an unlucky club. And options or as my team's boss call them "possibilities, for sure", mean nothing if you can't produce consistent performances against top sides. As for the CL, if I were an Inter fan I'd be more concerned about winning a proper Serie A title this year, one that isn't devalued by your rivals penalties or exclusion Nicknamed no doubt for his reliable habit of 'disappearing' in matches when he's needed most
